Lets see......Where I live the closet poker game is 20 minutes away and it just sucks. The better one is 1.5 hours away. Here? There's about 40 poker games I can go play in all in a 1 mile radius. I can arrive here on a monday and grind for days and the action never stops. And it costs me less than I pay in gas to drive to minneapolis to play limit hold 'em
Other pleasing thoughts? First of all, Drexel has become a good friend now. I figured this would happen as for the last year we've been talking every once in a while and our conversations have always been classic. Druff as well has become a friend, even helping me out huge when I was here (and showing me the WSOP bracelet). He even gave me a ride in his BMW to downtown last night for dinner. (side note: he claims he's never been in an accident over 20mph. I don't know if I believe it.)
Trader was also an amazing dude to meet. Such a nice guy. And he's also pro-as-fuck at the degen life style. I watched him print $400 out of a video poker machine in less than the time it took me to smoke a cigarette.
Leapin' Larry was also a trip to hang out with. another class act. And he has the coolest dog ever.
Speaking of dogs.....
I met Traderrooski's dog, Katie. a sweet one, however, it totally bit my hand a few times. Good thing he doesn't travel with a German Shepard.
All in all, i'm really only down a few hundred cash, plus whatever I put on my credit card. For a week in vegas, making new friends, seeing new things, getting first time 30 minute lap dances when i paid for 15, playing 2 events, getting hammered, I'd say this is not a bad way to spend some money.
at first when I won those rooms, I had planned to just come here, maybe meet Druff, or Drexel and play some cash games.
I've played 30 minutes of a cash game.
I'd say those are plans well put together.
And yes, I am for sure coming back next year. Hell, I may be back in a few months even. it was $150 for a round trip here.

Drexel is GOD - obv knows how to party in Vegas and show people - even people he's just met, a great time in Vegas, and a very generous and stand-up guy in everything he does. Love the trip reports and pics.

We were all happy for larry but after reading 15 pages of a bunch of guys circlejerking a few of us, most notably krypt and marty, got ill and decided to do something about it. I also couldn't help myself. I think it turned out well for all involved. Even larry.
