Apparently Matt Hughes and his wife were in a truck that got hit by a train. Not looking good but details very sketchy right now, he had to be airlifted to hospital with head trauma.

True story:
I have a friend that got hit by a train at a blind intersection while in a 90 something Ford Escort. Train drug his car for a few hundred yards before it stopped. He opens the door, gets out, and walks away.
The police get there while he's waiting on a ride to pick him up and basically threaten to arrest him if he won't go to the hospital. He goes and they do x-rays that show a broken neck. He ended up in a halo for 3 or 4 months.
But the train hit the passenger side not driver side. If he really wanted to off himself, that seems like pretty poor planning.
