It probably won't go to court. The lawyer's goal here is to minimize damage and make the best deal possible. Trump wants to fire Sessions over his inability to get his unconstitutional travel ban made the law of the land, but he cant because he already fired the director of the FBI, his national security advisor, and the deputy attorney general and if he fires Sessions, there will simply be no possible way to maintain the illusion that Trump understands what a government is, much less how to make one work right.

It's unreal how quickly they're going through people. Sessions was one of his earliest and biggest supporters, now Trump wants to fire him because they're going to lose in court? The government loses in court regularly. That's what it means when the courts are an inependent coequal branch of government.
When things don't go his way he completely falls apart. He has a personality disorder that would make him extremely unlikable if he were just a normal guy, but makes him dangerous and destructive as president. Get rid of this fucker ASAP.
