Pay $395 and get insta-Diamond status at Caesars

Has anyone joined this Founders Card?

I'm thinking of booking an 18-day stay at a Caesars property during the WSOP this year, and the $395 fee for the Founders Card would be less than the accumulated resort fees, so would be worth it for that perk alone. Does anyone have experience ordering the card, or how Caesars accepts it during the reservation process? I just want to make sure it's legit before I plunk down the $395 for something that's not even a credit card. Thanks.

I've used it for Diamond status and American Airlines status match. Completely worth it.
