For the life of me, watching pro-weed enthusiasts here fist pump Trump's victory and them not noticing the law and order reefer madness types fist pumping even harder right next to them was simply amazing to me.
LOL... I missed that. Not one person I know in the industry was happy about his victory. Who are these naive enthusiasts you speak of?

I didn't mean the grownups. No one with the brains and resources to put together a professional operation would be pro-Trump. I'm talking the pro-weed posters here who were all in for Trump. Some dealing illegally. If things break badly you could be looking at a financial nightmare, while they're looking at 20 years behind bars and their kids calling some other dude dad. And they'll deserve it for voting for this mong.

Hopefully this is CPAC-week pandering, and it blows over, but the reality is until this current crop of thumpers are put 6 foot deep politically, it's going to be an unnerving time.

Honestly, considering all the insanity we've seen this first month I was pretty much expecting something like what we saw today. What I didn't expect was to see these jag-offs use the opioid crisis as a reason to go after recreational marijuana, saying it is on that same level when all of the FACTS say otherwise. These people are the biggest bunch of lying, corrupt pieces of shit to ever govern.

to put a finer point on this, to compare marijuana with the opioid epidemic while notably excluding liquor and cigs from the conversation is a rare window into conservative sickthink.

all the moreso considering how many of them made billions off the labs creating the opioids, the system designed to get people hooked on them, and the jails used to house them for being addicts.

BCR: Correct. Pretty much every former stripclub owner and anyone who had an OC dad back in the day is converting old buildings and shitty motels into methadone clinics.

vegas1369: Bingo. Yet these stupid blue collar fuck wits think these prices have their best interests at heart. Extreme right wing stupidity.

I really hate auto correct sometimes. It fucks me at least 10 times a day.

Anyway, yep, you hit the nail on the head.

The ultimate bunch of hypocritical pricks running our country.

What's even sadder is after watching the Democratic debates last night it just solidified the fact in my mind that they are even more fucked than I thought they were. The only thing that is going to save that party is how bad the Republicans are going to fuck up the next couple years.

the thing is, they arent dumb and they understand exactly whats taken place, and how important it is not to tip their hand. when this goes bad, its vital that no one be able to blameshift this onto the DNC.

this is Gore Vidal's revolution in reverse; we must wait for things to get so bad that the Bible belt revolts against their own. any attempt to solve this before they are convinced absolutely of their own mistakes will result in a very literal bloodbath.

Many of the patients at my shop buy cannabis to manage pain. They have tried opiates, but either can't afford them anymore or don't like the side effects. The pharmaceutical companies are behind this.

Fortunately the Trump administration will be too busy rounding up Mexicans and spying on Muslims to go after us drug dealers. Further, Trump has yet to prove he can actually govern, so I'm not the least bit worried.

Going from state AG to president in 4 years is a little ambitious, but when they keep talking about who will lead the party into the future, dudes like this need to emerge all over the country and get some new blood into the system.

Enjoy the party while you can. Truly can't wait for Trump admin to start cracking down on this drug. It's becoming an epidemic. States have no right to overrule federal laws

In all seriousness I have seen what The Donald originally said ---> states do whatever regarding weed. But now there seems to be a twist possibly coming although nothing is concrete.

So my question is let's just say Trump wants to take a hard ass stance on this. Can he basically just tell the feds to shut this shit down and thats it or is there more to this?

Because I have seen some footage and heard horror stories of feds going into medical pot shops in cali and just taking everything etc...

No. Congress has had laws in place for the last 3 years that make it illegal for the DEA to raid legal STATE run medical marijuana programs. The reason I capitalized state is because California is still not a state run program. Their entire industry operates in a grey area run by local municipalities that can change ordinances and zoning laws on a whim and make it illegal to operate a business overnight. It also opens up the doors for DA's with an agenda to go after shops as well. Even still, the raids are not nearly as bad as they were years ago, and the majority of the reputable businesses win out in court and are still operating. Google Care By Design raid for example.

The Rohrabacher-Farr amendment has seen increasing bi-partisan support the last 3 times it was voted on in Congress, and that is not expected to change.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohr...Farr_amendment

There are also other bills being introduced.

People like our little prancy friend that decided to lay down his misguided opinion in this thread really don't have a clue when it comes to this. That's fine with me. I'm used to it. History will ultimately be the judge.

The thing that cracks me up about this issue when it comes to people saying what PLOP said is that they only like a democratic system when it suits their agenda.

Meaning my state and other states have voted in recreational marijuana laws and medical marijuana laws, yet he feels it's okay for the federal government to overrule that. The majority of Americans support both recreational marijuana and medical marijuana. Meanwhile he's all for gay rights and gets all pissy when the federal government wants to shut down the LGBT community on states rights issues...lol. Can't have it both ways.
