I was honestly surprised that this didn't happen sooner.

He might have had some good commentary and insight on poker play and the poker scene, but he's far too loud, obnoxious, and abrasive to be representing a major poker brand like The Bike.

I was pretty shocked that his Pokersesh show was a Live at the Bike production. Had the feel of a solo-produced webcast where the host is intentionally a jerk to everyone.

I tried to debate with him on a few topics, including one time on PFA Radio, but the guy was just impossible to reason with. He would just repeat the same things over and over in his loud, scratchy voice, and shout over you whenever you attempted to make a point.

It was worse on his own show. When you would start to make him look/feel stupid, he'd hang up on you and not take your calls again, all while claiming "he can call back if he wants".

This Polk thing was definitely what got him fired, but at the same time, it looks more like the straw that broke the camel's back.

It just seems that the Polk thing made them finally realize that Limon was a bigger liability than asset, so they shut him down.

Oh, and the people in his chat room were the absolute nut low. Reminded me of the mentality one would find in a teen chat room on AOL, circa 1998. I guess those are the only type of people who can stand listening to the guy on a regular basis.

His obsession with hating Trump was also odd. It consumed him for months leading up to the election, and then for quite some time after the election!

I think BCR got it right. Limon could be decent in limited doses, if he was kept on track by another host. Giving this guy his own show, and then associating it with Live at the Bike, was a big mistake.

Limon convinced a lot of the bike regulars that Clinton was a lock and encouraged them to book action against the "fish" who wanted to back Trump. He hinted that one of the regulars, Harry, lost a ton. Probably dumped 50-100k.

He shows up on this Reddit. Funny man. Just find the part where he calls his audience "THE GOLD STANDARD". I think he even knows...LOL.

Weird observation. Do you know of any examples of this?

I don't know what you're trying to ask here.

Simply put, Limon does not come off as courteous, professional, or even-tempered.

This is fine for an independent podcast/webcast, but not so good when it's part of a large casino attempting to aim their broadcasts to the masses. The Bike stood to get harmed more than it would gain by having a loud, drunk, abrasive jerk running one of its broadcast products.

Limon always represented Limon much more than he represented the Bike. That was painfully clear during the Polk incident, which was the straw that broke the camel's back.

    BTW, here is the meltdown:

It appears from Limon's comments that they bought him out, so he's probably gone for good.

Part of the buyout deal likely involved a promise (likely in writing) that he would not badmouth Live at the Bike after his departure. I'm just guessing at that part.

BTW, apparently Polk was only coming onto the Pokersesh show because Limon demanded that as a term for having their $10k heads up match.

Some are theorizing that Limon also went off like this in order to give himself an excuse to back out of their match, where he assumed himself to be an underdog.

That's what I assumed after hearing he demanded Polk come on the show but was to busy sounding off to actually take his call.

limon holds himself up to this high standard how he kicks back, plays golf, leisurely plays poker, smokes cigars, drinks booze, has all these outside investments that aren't poker related, and all that fancy shit...

does sound like he got cold feet to play polk in a $10K HU match...really limon? you supposedly have all this disposable cash laying around, all these investments and you're sweating $10K? really? something doesn't add up sideshow bob...

Ulvis Alberts came down to the bike one time. He found Abe Lemon sitting there, on a cool 100K. just waiting to snap a guy off.

Like Johnny Moss before him, Lemon takes on all comers. They even leave a table open for him at the front, should anyone take him up on it.

Along came a man, named Doug Polk. He challenged Lemon to a match. A duel. A battle of nit-wits. 10k, heads up. Winner takes all.

They played for 5 years, before finally, Lemon had enough. He called it quits. At 4:20 PM, exactly 5 years to the minute the first hand was dealt, Abe Lemon got up from the table, dusted off his crusty golf shirt. Removed his sunglasses, and reached across the table, and shook Dougs hand.

"Mr Polk, I have to let you go." were the famous words uttered that day. it was glorious.

For whatever reason these Polk/Limon vids keep turning up in my YT recommends list so I watched a bit of the tirade, a while back I heard Druff's call in to get some chick fired at the Bike and I watched a bit of some Polk video about Limon.

    Here's my take.
Srlsly is doing a good job w Polk's videos.

Limon's being railroaded and unfairly attacked. He may deserve some criticism but he's getting hit with everything. Anti semitism, alcoholism, his house, his voice, his chat, his show, everything's being thrown at this guy.

Polk probably is big timing him a bit.

I was impressed w/ Limon's resolve when Druff started hitting him with gotcha questions about that girl at the Bike. Druff seemed a bit steamed that his verbal Judo failed. TBF Druff's an expert at verbal Judo w plenty of practice and would of succeeded 95% of the time. At one point Druff even went for the "hey we're both Jews" play and Limon shot that down with a "that shouldn't matter" response. A true man of integrity.
Disclaimer: I felt Druff was overplaying his hand in that sitch. I didn't think she needed to be fired.

I don't know what to think about the Kalawatt the other guy and the subscription poker site situation. It's unfortunate it played out that way.

So yea, you all should go have a beer w Obama and work this out.

If he's gay, he's been lying about an Asian girl fetish since like 2003 when I started watching LATB. One never knows, but I'd be pretty shocked if he was gay. I may have watched the first show they ever did. Certainly very early on. Then I was a subscriber to something called jokergaming to watch the show. They were basically just breaking into full time pros after propping and I was playing higher games than Bart and Dave were when they started doing commentary. Those early Bike broadcasts were great viewing. I enjoyed them more than High Stakes Poker. I never envisioned playing with a million in front of me, but every poker game had a corporation Mike or Barry shoving 3k with top pair back then. It got way less fun later when everyone learned to play.

BCR: That surprises me. Felt earlier in boom. Mike was the best. That Asian games business he ran with mom must have been real lucrative.

I wont argue i guess i made wrong assumption. For some reason i was never attracted to asian women so if the booty call was asian then i am not so jealous after all. He must have a bankroll beyond belief . He does own a restaurant from what i gather so you know he has big bucks
