How about he fights Greg hardy
How about he fights Greg hardy
i think he should call out ronda rousey for the unified gender belt at 135 then blow off his weight cut.

Unless this is for a diuretic (b/c its hard for her to cut weight), she's fucked

UFC announced last night that Rousey will not partake in any pre-fight media activities on fight week. As a result, neither will Nunes.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 17m17 minutes ago
This is unprecedented for UFC. Never seen a headliner completely exempt from doing anything. Even media grump Lesnar had to show up.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 15m15 minutes ago
Irony is very rich here in a year when McGregor was pulled from 200 for not wanting to go to an April PC, they make this call 8 mths later.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 14m14 minutes ago
For the record, it doesn't bother me. Her MMA media ban dates back to pre-193 so this isn't a huge shock, but it's quite interesting. ...
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 12m12 minutes ago
Especially since fight week media events, even an open workout, is a prizefighting tradition. And her team isn't allowed to talk either.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 11m11 minutes ago
But she's earned the right. That doesn't mean we can't wonder why this is being allowed to happen when other fighters have tried to cancel.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 10m10 minutes ago
And if I'm Nunes, I take the complete opposite approach. Show up. Say you're here for the people. Take it in. Revel in the moment.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 8m8 minutes ago
3 main thoughts after seeing this were:
1: Why is she so against?
2: The diff. between how Conor handled his loss and her is remarkable.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 7m7 minutes ago
Say what you will about Conor, he put out the blueprint on how to handle a loss, sucked it up and is 10x more popular now. It's amazing.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 6m6 minutes ago
But here's the biggest Q: this, IMO, highlights the massive conflict of interest in the UFC. WME reps Rousey. That's a big deal.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 4m4 minutes ago
It's in WME's best interest to keep her very happy. But what about the others? This is why the promoter shouldn't be allowed to rep fighters
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 3m3 minutes ago
It's a very dangerous game. Remember, White severed ties with Liddell/Ortiz after becoming UFC owner in '01. Right call then, why not now?
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 17m17 minutes ago
The +? It's become a story in its own right. Adds a level of mystery to the fight. It's different and will be dissected by media. Not bad.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 15m15 minutes ago
In a weird way, it makes me more interested in next wk. Different is fun. I hope they do realize how big of a can of worms they opened tho.
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani 10m10 minutes ago
Will also be interesting to see how she acts if she wins. If she then talks again, what kinda message is that to ur fans/youth? Fascinating.
you know.... we are edging towards a point where fighters have be not just cleared physically to fight, but mentally as well. and i think the crux of what AH just spelled out is that ronda is really, REALLY unstable emotionally right now and there is real concern that if the press started to needle her, it might jeopardize the fight.

Can't post a link from my phone due to fat fingers but ESPN is reporting that Josh Barnett got popped in out of competition testing by USADA.
1) ronda went off the deep end for a year and a half or so.
2) there is a real concern that anyone who can sock her in the puss is going to trigger her PTSD.
3) 99/100 womens mma fighters are just terrible. nunes isnt terrible. shes not exactly good but shes not terrible. and the only thing she does well happens to be rondas potential kryptonite; light up her gabber from the outside.
4) ronda pulled a maia and decided she was a great striker because lol edmund. ask maia how well that shit worked out for him, it took him years to recover from swallowing that koolaid.
5) nunes line is suuuuuper inflated because of the way she crip walked though an aging, broken tate.
6) USADA
so yeah theres value in ronda at -140 but no one should be shocked if ronda gets flash ko'd because she gassed after her first wild haymaker and couldnt keep her hands up.

1) Off the deep end? Please. I don't want to sound misogynistic but men and women each handle pressure a lot differently. She was trained and raised differently by her Mom so you are looking at someone whom you cant fathom to understand the psyche let alone of a UFC fighter.
2) PTSD? Rofl. Miesha Tate didn't get "PTSD" after her first loss to Rousey and at the very least we can both agree Rousey is 5x the fighter and athlete.
3) I disagree. The two Polacks, Joanna and the muay thai broad are good. However, with all these changes in the UFC I wonder what direction they are going to take with this entire gender group. To get good fighters they are going to have to scout and invest money and if they don't does that open it up to other organizations to capitalize.
4) Can't compare Maia to Ronda. Compare her to Silva or GSP but when GSP got smacked by Serra that didn't destroy him. made him stronger and now he gets 2 am visits from UFO's. Win/Win.
5) I don't see anything that extraordinary about Nunes. I don't and still dont see anything extraordinary with Weidman but meh.
6) USADA negates my win? Didn't think so.
In terms of Flash KO, Nunes is +175. I will give you +200 for any amount under 100 bucks. No way that happens to Rousey again

im actually surprised they scrapped the line.
also fwiw i have one (1) bet on the rousey fight and its light action on ronda rd 1 so its not like i disagree that ronda should win, i've just watched enough mentally brittle apex fighters totally fail to get back on their horses after catching a meaningful L to know that ronda might not be the bankable entity she once was.
if youre betting on ronda, youre essentially betting on edmund. if she was in a new camp i would likely have a more optimistic perspective here.

ANY amount under 100
Slava Ukraini!
For what it's worth Rousey looked in amazing shape better then ever but her fight game after the layoff remains to be seen.
Brendan schaub knew ronda pretty well, being that he was fucking her and all, he's been pretty spot on on his reads regarding rondas fighting ability, he pretty much says she'll just do the same shit she did with holly and get knocked the fuck out in round 1. He had predicted ronda losing to holly before their fight so i trust his read.
I wonder if she ever arm barred his cock?
