For me this ep really brought it back. Redeemed itself for the last 2 slogging entries. It gave me the miserable, uncomfortable feeling that something is going on beneath the surface and whatever it is, most likely cannot be dealt with in mortal terms. A lot of 'playing God' themes in this. I don't hate it.

I think there's a difference between getting scuffed up and risking a shattered cheekbone/jaw at a minimum.

The one consistent dialog back on the base is 'the guests never get hurt' so what the fuck is going on here exactly.

Guess i'm not reading that much into that plotline except its provision to get the blue dress to the center of the maze. Now that Hopkins shows up in the Saloon and stops time.. now that's something to ponder.
