I don't think Indians can afford to go down at any point in series. Tonight is big.
Didn't go to either of the games in Cleveland. I'm not an any seat is great guy. I'm too old to enjoy sitting in the upper deck when it's cold, and the good seats were just too expensive. My buddy I usually go with had a sales conference, so I would have had to drag my father to it and buy two, and quite frankly, he's ready to snowbird off to Naples in two weeks and prefers to watch it at home without optimal weather.
Indians need to score 4 tonight off this kid to have a shot most likely. Tomlin is solid, and the moment won't be too big for him, but he's not generally a shut down guy. Just not good enough stuff. He's a grinder who will usually give up 2 or 3 in five or six innings. At least he mostly throws strikes. Getting behind against these Cubs hitters is suicide. Tall task to win tonight.
If you wager baseball you have a special place in your heart for Clay Buccholz. Tomlin & Buccholz are really athletic guys who were talented enough to pitch too. Not electric arm prodigies. The pair battled for starting shortstop in college and Tomlin won, I believe.
Tomlin's a gamer and an overachiever this year IMO. What's important is that he is a fly ball pitcher who gives up the homerun at a regular pace. He is the guy the trick or treat Cubs offense love.
Carlos Santana is gonna start in left for his bat. He is a train wreck when he has his glove on.
The final nail in the coffin is that Wrigley wind is blowing out at a good clip.

haha oh yeah for sure. It's gonna be a madhouse. It's a shame the regular people, really hardcore fans have been priced out of the game. That really does suck. A lot of the guys at the game tonight are just rich guys who can afford to go to the game. These same guys probably didn't go to one game during the season or watch any of the games on tv.
