I take comfort knowing im not suffering alone

So this kid in Orange County (California) predicted in 1993 that the Cubs would win the World Series in 2016:
There were accusations that this was a hoax, but supposedly classmates from 1993 have come forward and posted pics of their yearbooks, showing it's real.
It is possible that he was referencing Back to the Future II (where the Cubs won the World Series in 2015), but got the year wrong. That movie came out in 1989, so 1993 is a reasonable amount of time to where he could remember the reference but forget the exact year.
Or it was just a really lucky guess.
I attempted to look up the yearbook on classmates.com, but curiously it was never uploaded. Yearbooks from 1991, 1992, and 1999 were also missing, as well as several others. 1994 was available.
Of course, given the way tonight went, he may turn out to be wrong anyway.
Funny how the Cubs offense has looked either unstoppable or terrible. I saw this in the series with the Dodgers.
To be honest, it's a bit embarrassing for the Cubs to have been shut out 3 times in the past 7 postseason games. That doesn't exactly make this team look unbeatable, though they sure looked that way in the final three NLCS games.
They had their chances and didn't execute. They managed to get 7 hits combined vs Kluber and Miller. Kluber who had his a-game + a couple of favorable strike calls by the shitty umpire and vs Miller they Had a few good at bats but didn't get the key hits when they needed them.
I saw tonight that Miller can be hit and can be scored on.
The indians starting 3 combined are pretty terrible. You have two guys in a row with +4 era going in game 2 and game 3.
I still like the cubs chances.
If they can get to Kershaw after being shutout they can get to Kluber in game 4

funny guy behind right handers, with some troll signs lol.
the Bartman sign and the 1984 and 2003 choke sign are the ones I caught
You won't find signs like that at dodgers stadium
2 observations:
You mentioned that this could be a back to the future reference, so it would be interesting to see if EVERY yearbook contains a reference to the cubs winning in a given year, perhaps even several students predicting different years?
The other is that you said it looked bad for the Cubs after the first game, but I would like to note that it was the Kluber show this game, and he ain't pitching every damn game.
bars charging to watch the game in Wrigleyville.
say if with me now:
GET FUCKED.
I was on board with Cubs even though I'm a sox fan but cmon. $25,000 for a ticket, and now $225 just to stand in a bar next to the field and watch the game.

greedy fucking pigs.
People are freaking out about the high covers, but I don't see what the big deal is. If people are willing to pay it, why wouldn't they charge it? That's capitalism. I don't see anything wrong with it.
Personally, I'll be watching the game about 1.5 miles south of Wrigley on Clark Street for free.
