Some of these NMDs go for a pretty penny, hell they just released a limited 100 pair color that is going for around 5k a pair. NMD Boosts are the shit comfort-wise.

For me, I would go:
Nike Zoom Soldier 7. I beat the fuck out of these shoes for 2+ years and they still fit like a glove. Like walking on air. LeBron really knows his shit.
Foamposites. I hate running. But I wear these shoes and think, wow, I could just go running right now. I mean I won't. But with these shoes I could almost consider it.
NMD Boosts: These shoes treat your feet like kings.
Yeezy 350 Boost: For all the ridiculous hype around these sneakers, they are super comfortable.

I get it this is a comfort first thread. Style is unimportant if you are on the court or just bumming around but wearing these types of runners to work has become popular in a world where people commonly remove their footwear on a plane and therapy dogs are frequent flyers.

The comfort issue is debateable. If you spend money on a quality traditional footwear, full grain leather and custom fit (not always necessary) you'll find your feet in a better place than surrounded by foam and plastic which can become a breeding ground for all things bacteria.

Back to style for a moment. Golfers, mostly men, have been called out for their attire for ages. They're guys so this will always be the case. The ugly sneaker golf shoe has now crept into the culture. Realizing most pros are paid to wear this or that is part of it, but in few circumstances do you want your feet to be the focus of attention.
Also on the tour, the "I'm fresh from the farm" look of wearing white belts has not yet been laughed off the course.

#1 Adidas Ultra Boost

I never thought Id say this but this shoe might be to cushioned, but if that is your thing nothing beats this shoe.


#2 Asics Nimbus
This is my favourite at the moment, not as extreme as the Adidas but I love the green and think it looks much better than the Adidas Ultra Boost

It's just opinions but I'd say that the Adidas ones look much smarter than those Asics. The Asics don't look good at all imo and it's because they're running trainers. Asics gel lyte are a better choice as you get the best of both worlds with comfort and street style combined.

Light weight, soft and good looking, could easily be worn to a wedding

I don't know what type of weddings you go to but you can't seriously rock up to even a semi formal event wearing trainers. There's a saying that it's better to be over-dressed than under-dressed which could be applied here.
