This is sarcastic, right?
I hope it is.
Been to any college campuses lately? Or in the past 25 years?
The left was even regulating speech when I was in college, but it's worse today.
Many on the left today believe in regulating speech, as long as they can label it "hate speech", "racism", "homophobia", "transphobia", "Islamophobia", etc.
And so does the right, as long as they can say you aren't being patriotic, or you are un-American. Remember anti-war protests in 2000's?
The Republican nominee for president's response to sitting during the anthem is for these people to find another country. It wasn't, "I don't agree with this, but I'm not for political correctness, so I support their right to protest". A lot of anti-pc people are just using that movement to be offensive or racist, and it has nothing to do with free speech.
Everyone is for free speech, as long as it's speech you agree with. Very few actually are for free speech when the message is repugnant. The good news is that it seems bi-partisan.
It would be best for people in this thread to a) brush up on their constitutional law regarding the limits of free speech, and b) accept that vile, toxic bigotry is not being 'repressed/suppressed/silenced/censored' when its labeled as vile, toxic bigotry.
I imagine it would allow a lot of people here to reclaim thousands of keystrokes they could otherwise use to contribute to the user comments at the double digit IQ petting zoo that is breitbart.
