Of course the downside to anon tables is the inability to immediately spot good games (or huge fish at the table), as well as the inability to detect cheating/superusing.

But the main two reasons I play there:

1) Sportsbook and casino fish in poker games
2) Reliable cashouts for fairly large amounts of money

So #1 is going away completely, and #2 is reducing.

Bad, bad, bad.

This might be the end of decent/good limit holdem games online in the US market.

The only hope I see for the games remaining good is if they recruit new fish from other markets, such as China, and don't ringfence the US players from them.

The only confirmation we have right now is that Bovada will be separating its sportsbook and casino from the poker, and the poker will be a separate site called Ignition (which pretends to be a separate company, but isn't).
Apparently it's going to be u.s players only.
