Slavery was outlawed in most of Europe decades before the American Civil War! And it took another 100 years for blacks to have their right to vote in most southern states protected by law! And redlining by mortgage lenders wasn't effectively outlawed in the US until the 1970s. And laws preventing or restricting policing-by-numbers (arrest quotas) and fine-and-fee revenue farming, policies that are mostly borne by minorities, are only recently being implemented on a material basis. And the War on Drugs still is disproportionally "fought" against minorities given how white suburban America would fucking freak out if their kids/young adults were prosecuted for drug use at the same rate as blacks!

FFS! The whitewashing propaganda in that article is sickening. And what makes it particularly gauling is that it's by some supposedly Christian black guy!
