I put a small amount at Leave at +280 on Bovada. Trump's odds were around the same amount at one point (it's at +320 now I think).

LOL at Tony G wanting to put a million on Remain with Farage for charity. He's not always the best at accessing risk (see: Pokernews buying NWP). Maybe Tony needs to go back to the poker table.

A plus to this: Sein Fein in Northern Ireland seeks to start an EU referendum, which may start a Unified Ireland vote. Doubt it would happen, but the fact its being discussed is way sooner than I've ever imagined.

They're covered calls asswipe. Meaning I already own the stock. It's still a winner, just not as big as it could've been.
You sold a covered call stupid on the VXX the day before expiration? You posted that them leaving would be a huge mistake, options are up 300%+ and you still made money? L O L.

You are either a huge liar or you are too dumb to know the trade you made. My guess is the former.

    Right now.

This whole thing is way over blown. Everyone is running for the hills saying the UK just killed themselves..... The truth in the long run is likely they just saved themselves.

    How so?

Even if they saved themselves, they killed the UK. Scotland will vote again to leave the UK and remain in the EU. And if Northern Ireland is allowed a vote they will also leave and unify with the rest of Ireland. The border between Ireland and Northern Ireland is completely open right now. When the UK leaves the EU it can't be anymore.

It seems the only sane nations remaining in the Anglo world are Canada and New Zealand.

Wow I must commend the "remain" leaders who lost the election. Apparently it isn't even a legally binding vote and they immediately accept their defeat with class. They are saying "wow are you ppl insane, but ok that's figure this out, you tell us what to do winners"

Now compare that to US politics where we say "you are the biggest morons on the planet, I can't wait to watch u fail!" to the other side. Like seriously, there is no way the losing side would accept a non legally binding vote without taking it all the way to the US supreme court. How many scams have they tried to run to cheat trump now? They are still at it now with some free the delegate vote your conscience scheme.

ENGLAND WILL SHOW US THE WAY PPL, AFTER TRUMP WINS, WE WILL WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

Even the most ardent loyalists in the occupied six are now considering getting an Irish passport, which is a birthright if you were born there before 2005 if I remember correctly.

In fact, applications for Irish passports have shot up again, and have been for some time now, also from the English.

Daly is partially right... but I think he's underestimating the recovery time. Long term this is prob best for UK and I see it outperforming the EU (whatever is left of it) longterm... and by long term I'm talking 3-5yrs. Short term it will be a bloodbath unless agreements can be reached ASAP.

fwiw, the same person telling me remain was more or less a lock is now saying there is a contingency plan going into effect that would basically retract the vote.

again, they might still be drunk.

    Update:

Traders are screaming to go longer now but are all talk vs action. They started the day selling off and shortening everything and now they're buying back selectively.

The consensus is that markets will continue to selloff into next week unless lots of work gets done over the weekend between the EU and UK.

Def fear selling and will prove to be an excellent buying opportunity later next week.

Traders are already hitting the bars for the day and most just keeping the book flat in fear of an unstable close.

Rates aren't going fucking anywhere for at least 6-9months, but the theory from people a shit ton smarter than I am say no rate cut or neg rates.

Line of the day said to a Krypt like intern "YOU THINK YOU'RE FUCKED?! YOU THINK THIS IS GOING TO FUCK YOU? ASK YOUR MOM WHO PAID HER 4 FAKE..." He was dragged into a room by his desk head and my manager before he said something wrong... he was the guy who didn't hedge and even went a bit longer last night.

Honestly some traders and risk managers are loving this, it's why we do this job.... the other side of our group is legit in the corner googling "panhandling at penn station for dummies".

    UK folks are legit scared...

I'm going to the bar in 2 hours.

I hope that you are *not* as bad at reading comprehension at your job as you when reading my comments here. Because I said "since the Great Depression", *not* "similar to during" it. Because the current generation of 20-somethings are, on average, staying/living with the parents longer than any generation since the GD. It started with the Great Recession, and hasn't recovered for them as much as those older with more experience.

P.S. I'll let you google that info on your own since you have time away from your job to so politely chit chat here with me.
Again you are beyond retarded and do not know what you are speaking about. There have been countless worse situations than we are in now, but keep yapping about what you read on yahoo news brah.

Whatever hazing that kid is experiencing is nothing compared to the abuse the traders give the salesmen. Amirite?

Ameicans are way dumber than Brits. Not even close. Most Americans could not locate Great Britain on a map and think that Wales are fish that swim in the ocean.

I know this is a poker site, sorta, but it might not be smart to read situations by the betting line. The polls were not necessarily wrong about Brexit, the betting sites were.
