I never got the feeling that he was running on a "Im just like you" campaign. If he did, that would be pretty LOL to me. I kind of looked at it as a guy, who made a lot of money, who is well known (whether for good or bad reasons, doesnt matter) who wants to give things a shot at running the country like a business, as he doesnt like how its being currently run (cant blame him here at all). I also personally think the challenge was made to him when Obama tried to clown him at that correspondence dinner a few years ago. I figured Trump started having all of these dreams (since he was challenged, publicly, and doesnt like to lose) of him coming in and making massive changes, and fixing things, so that Obama looked like a total joke of a pres.


I see him as taking on the fight FOR the people, not being ONE OF the people. He probably wants a legacy of fixing this US and showing how politicians suck ass.
