the problem with suboxone is it's an opiate antagonist, which means if you have any dope in your system it gives you immediate, severe withdrawals.

i actually have some and everyone says it's a miracle drug, but i must be taking it too soon after my last high, because it makes me hella sick.

i'm not waiting long enough, apparently. you have to get sick enough to get better, as strange as that sounds...which is hard to do.

The problem with all of these is the methadone, the suboxone, the subutex are all harder drugs to quit than the H. Their withdraw isn't as intense, but lasts a shit ton longer than Hor other opiates.

Look into clonidine if you're still going through any of this shit. It's what detox facilities would give you if they dont support methadone or subs. I consider those both just trade off addictions.

It sucks that they had us tricked into thinking we could take methadone or subs and be cured. They didnt mention its withdrawal symptoms were like heroin withdrawal but in marathon form.

for anybody interested in an update...

i called my doc today and told the receptionist i relapsed and needed a new script for 50mg/day to stabalize myself, so i can work and not have to worry about being dopesick

she said they would call if there was any problem (otherwise it would be ready for me to pickup tomorrow)

well, they never called back so tomorrow i can go pick up the script and hopefully find a pharmacy to fill it

this will be a huge step towards starting to live a normal life again, and not have to struggle daily with being dopesick (or the fear of being dopesick)

it sucks after all these years weaning myself down to just 10mg per day, and having to take such a big step back, but at this point it really is my best option

I dont think he intended to take all 50 each day. As addicts one of the most important things is to have those extra meds you need so you have a peace of mind that youre not going to be cutting it close and get dope sick on day 26-27 of the month when you cant refill yet
