OKC melted down in the 3rd and they keep being smacked back when they get within 5 or so.

Now it's 11 and the game is over.

Sorry OKC, you should have closed it out when up 3-1.

At least my under is going to win.

Yeah too bad you didn't make that timely call.

You started betting on my picks right when I was losing the last 2 days?

I was 4-1 on the picks I posted here in the days prior to that.

Hopefully you at least grabbed the Under 113 2H for this NBA game.

    going into the game tonight...

Odds to win the 2015-16 NBA Finals

    Golden State Warriors 4/5
    Cleveland Cavaliers 17/10
    Oklahoma City Thunder 13/2

gonna guess you're probably gonna get the cavs at around +200 or so...at that price they seem live enough...only thing that worries me is that their bigs just aren't that scary...as long as GS doesn't get raped on the boards I think they should be able to take the series...

Don't ever count out a team with great shooters even when they fall down early. The under was the ez money tonight cause you knew both teams were going to make it tough on each other defensively at least in parts tonight so lol at 219 points.

I was out doing some holiday things in the beginning otherwise I would have bet the Warriors in game when they got down early.

Selective reading? I fixed your half quote of my quote.

Anyone who reads my posts in this thread knows I fire a lot in game on the Warriors and I've been doing it all season long. Many times I've posted a few minutes after I've made a bet while the game was still going. Today I was not home otherwise I would have snapped up a bet in this spot probably late in the first quarter.

Overall, I've made money doing this throughout the year and I'm just sharing what has worked for me but I've also been burned good a few times by doing it too.

The greatest Sports Handicapper ever, Stu Feiner. Aside from TMMLK.

I am only a casual sports bettor.

I did not choose it. Stu Feiner came up during my hazing by the great Lewfather when I joined. Had to do it.

I have sometimes wondered what I would choose if I had free will. Can't mess with history though.

They acted like an over-eager buyer on a car lot.

The Red Sox wanted to dump their big contracts. The only one with any value at the time was Adrian Gonazlez, but he was still expensive.

Dodgers taking Gonzalez already helped them, but understandably the Sox wanted more, since the Dodgers weren't giving them anything of value. But the Dodgers should have offered to take Beckett's ridiculous (but shorter) contract, and drawn the line there.

Crawford was ridiculous. The contract was huge and long. The Dodgers were already taking Gonzalez and Beckett, the latter of whom was WAY overpaid.

The current ownership will only have a little longer to blame the previous regime. After that, any fail is on them.

Supposedly they are waiting until next year to make any big signings.

I said that this year would be a down year for the Dodgers (like .500-ish), and it looks like that's accurate.
Dumbrowski sat Panda Sandoval's ($17.6M) fat ass at the beginning of year. Bold move. No one does this, particularly the Dodgers.

Blah, blah, blah... previous regime. Yeah, Sandoval was previous regime.

How much money was made betting against Dodgers when Beckett walked to the mound? Damn money truck. Dodgers kept trotting him out there.

Just like Crawford still dresses for games.

No, this is on Friedman NOW. Note both teams are on different trajectories.

Oh yeah, something, something Dodgers great farm system. Dombrowski called up some kid from AAA. No outfield prospects for Dodgers? Really?

Look, accept this as a helpful exercise. Until I extinguish any optimism about Dodgers success now or in the future, you can't be saved.

Consider it a personal rebuilding process.

Fair enough and I get your point sir referring to how repetitive it is, but I've also posted several times in game right afterwards when I've made the bet because it's been a popular play for me since last year with GS.

    Anyways, carrying on.

I'm looking forward to seeing more series prices over the various books as they get put up.

Cavs will be well rested for game 1 and sometimes that rest = rust. In this case the rest was needed, certainly for Love and Irving who got beat up a bit by the end of the series vs. Toronto.

The Warriors have an extra day break then a typical schedule which they need after the war they just went through the past few games. Good thing for the Warriors is opening the series at home where they already are so no travel.

You are too negative on the Dodgers.

Beckett wasn't terrible. He just wasn't good. And he wasn't worth anywhere near the money the Dodgers were paying him. Expectations weren't even high, so I doubt the lines were ever much on his side when he pitched for the Dodgers.

By the time the Dodgers acquired Beckett and Crawford, they were mostly useless, save for Carl Crawford's postseason heroics against the Braves and Beckett's no-hitter.

They just ate a ton of salary on two useless players to acquire a third useful player, whose salary was already high!

Friedman unfortunately can't get used to running a big market team. He keeps going for the value play. Acquires oft-injured players who might one day stay healthy and blow up huge. McCarthy, Anderson, Maeda... all are in the same mold.

This is a decent way to go about things in Tampa Bay when money is tight, but not on the Dodgers where you can simply afford to sign established stars.

Giants acquired Cueto. He had one bad half-season in KC, but I chalked that up to unfamiliarity with the AL and dealing with the DH. Aside from that and one long DL stint a few years ago, he's been gold.

Sure enough, Cueto has been very good for SF so far, and honestly has been the difference between the Dodgers and Giants in the standings. Much like Greinke was that difference last year.

The funny thing is that the smartest moves the Dodgers have made in recent years have involved practicing avoidance.

    Passed on re-signing Hanley Ramirez.

    Passed on re-signing Greinke.

    Passed on signing Shields.

Even the one move which left everyone scratching their head -- the Gordon trade -- ended up looking okay. Maybe the Dodgers knew something about the roids wihch the rest of us (including the Marlins) didn't.

The new regime hasn't made a successful, impact signing or trade, though.

Grandal is great defensively and at handling pitchers, but hasn't been able to hit since the middle of last year. And they had to give up Kemp, who drove in 100 last year.

Kendrick was the result of the Gordon trade and was decent, but not exciting. And they only had him for one year before having to re-sign him as a free agent, and this year his skills have declined.

McCarthy has been a complete fail. Anderson has been mediocre.

Kazmir and Wood haven't worked out.

    LOL Mat Latos.

    Bullpen still sucks.

They need to make some big moves and sign some impact players. Gonzalez is declining, Justin Turner isn't the same since his offseason surgery, and Puig can't get himself right.

There are no scary bats in this lineup. Maybe Seager and Pederson will get there, but they're not quite there yet.

As the Dodgers' previous regime's contracts expire, the new regime keeps spending the money little by little with various fail signings.

It's time to stop this value nonsense and just sign some marquee players.

Right now Kershaw has the best career ERA of any pitcher since 1920, and by a good margin. They need to stop wasting that.

think a part of the greinke suck factor has been the park shift...pretty fucking brutal to go from dodger stadium to chase field...that sure as shit aint helping him...
