So I imbibed this concoction today with some pleasant results. It poured pitch black and thick like a milkshake, head was medium brown with medium sized bubbles that scaled about an inch and a half up the glass and stayed there. The front end was like a mix of chocolate and Pepsi, really sweet, giving way to a dark coffee middle that coated your tongue. The bitter only really hit on the back and it was still disguised by the sugar in the brew. This thing came in at 8% abv and it kicked like a mule. I was tipsy by the time I finished the glass. Was decent for something in its category. It has me interested in what else they have to offer.

Twisted Cain is an American Black Ale that pours black in color with red hues passing through the edges of the glass, topped with a creamy off-white head. This medium bodied brew leads with a pleasant roasted aroma, before a sweet dark fruitiness, that ends in slightly bitter and dry finish.

Checked out a new pizza place that opened up recently in San Luis Obispo. It is called Blast 825 Taproom. The pizza was decent...but the real draw is the beer. They have 40 craft beers on tap and it's all self-serve. You open a tab and are given a bracelet with a RFID tag in it. To pour a beer you touch your bracelet to the screen above the beer and activate the tap. You pay by the ounce. When you are done, they scan your bracelet and pay for whatever you consumed.

If they have Parabola on tap I am driving up there tonight. Hut can you do me a favor since you are in the area. Can you please swing by Firestone Walker and pick me up the maximum allotted bottles of Parabola for me?

Actually someone made a Taffer dupe on this site and he storms in and chastises people from time to time. But depending on the price per oz, I might want some wench to bring me the shit instead.
