Anyone play poker in a "Social Club" ?

The current state of poker is certainly not faggot if you know where to look and know who to shmooze to get invited. If you like to play like a nit and not straddle and enjoy berating fish you will never get invited to any good game. (unless you really really suck) If you want a poker league and you play poker for social reasons I really can't comprehend that. The game stopped being fun for me years ago. I play for money.

As I read the comments I notice I'm the only telling you exactly what you will experience when you walk in that door on April 1st. Even worse by May 1st all the agents will poach the new fish that somehow hadnt found a game. It seems like I'm the only one talking about things to do with this thread. I play in a bi-weekly "big game" with some biggest fish in the whole world, including a very famous country western star's manager. While I appreciate all your wonderful words of wisdom about "the current state of poker" it has nothing to do with this thread.

You wanted opinions of Poker Clubs. I probably play poker more than anyone on this forum. I've seen similar things start and fail miserably. I know exactly how it will go down at this Alamo Poker Club. I couldn't be more on topic. No alcohol, time limits, slowness, gayness, with the worst kicker in the deck being that you just haven't quite comprehended what sort of dealers would actually think this is a good gig. I'm just trying to save you some time.

Ask George Strait's manager and the rest of the boys at that game what they think this will turn out looking like. I bet they say the same as me. If you are invited to something like that then this shit show should not even be on your radar.
