Honestly I'll take Ferguson vs anyone at this point on principle.

My dad is retired and makes supplemental money through ebay selling sports stuff (mostly baseball).
He called me this afternoon saying he has some diaz and tate memorabilia he is hoping will go up in price now. Pretty funny cause the guy doesn't;t even like MMA. He also told the Ronda loss earlier hurt him cause he was buying tons of her stuff.

Rogan's right about how weight cutting is the worst thing in MMA.
2nd worse thing?
The dicksuck fanboys that were sitting around that table, talking about how Conor's disgraceful bullshit is what the sport needs and riffing on how Conor's left hand is basically Thor's hammer.

Worked for Muhammad Ali. I mean, Joe Frazier didn't like it much, but it everyone else ate it up, and still do.
You call it disgraceful bullshit, but we're talking about almost a carny sport in many ways, grown men fighting in a cage for money and belts. Outrageous personalities are what makes combat sports awesome. Not everyone has to be that way, matter of fact its better if very few are this way, but Jesus, mma really is a ton more interesting when you have people peddling outrageous, disgraceful bullshit.

Me and djchaps think steroids or the lack there of was the cause of both the Holm and Diaz upsets. Am I alone on this?

In related news, the Big 10 wrestling championships are on TV but these are all 200 lbs gorillas. Where are the 155lbs?
was listening to some post fight interviews, and Diego said something weird (shocking, right?). Talking about being durable, different weights, concussions, staying healthy, he mentioned he was working with a place in Dallas that did brain stuff, cutting edge stuff, and that they "fix" concussions and Alzheimer's and shit.
He's talking about Cerebrum Health Centers, also known until last year as Carrick Brain Centers. Why did they change their name? Probably has something to do with the stories in the news about how Texas gave them $2 million for some very odd veteran ptsd treatments involving a strange rotating chair that looks like it belongs at NASA. Of course, they gave no reliable results (they didn't bother with silly things like "controls" and "standard treatment.") They appear to deal in bullshit and woo. Glenn Beck is a huge fan, tho.

Diego is the perfect mark for a place like this, because when he buys into an idea, he buys in 100%.

To be clear; Holm beat Ronda because Ronda walked into a 3 punch combo at 4:30 that left her retarded. Her coach convinced her she was a world class striker and once she ate that combo, because shes a competergeek, she spent the rest of the fight trying to prove she can hang instead of focusing on her real skillset. But hang she couldnt and no one in her corner had the presence of mind to course-correct her so she got dommed.
Conor is simply the victim of getting gameplanned by someone who could eat his punches, fuck with his tempo, son him on the ground with total impunity, and land real honest to god boxing combos from outside Conor's range. In fact I wont even say he got gameplanned because Nate is basically a 1 trick pony standing and thats his fucking trick.
No amount of steroids would have helped either fighter in either fight.

I honestly wonder if no one in Ronda's corner wanted to tell her she was getting tooled up standing because they were terrified of what would happen to her if her ego took that hit.
