BTW, Broncos won coin toss 8 times and deferred on all of them. Panthers won coin toss 9 times and deferred on all.
Out of 36 games played by these two teams this year, only 3 times did the coin toss winner elect to receive. 2 came in the championship games on Sunday (NE, and ARI) and the other was the Titans vs Carolina.
Pretty much everybody defers these days. Surprised New England went the other way though. Crazy Bill.

NFL Conducting 'Comprehensive' Investigation of Manning Over HGH Claims
The NFL says it is conducting a "comprehensive" review of allegations that Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had human growth hormone delivered to his house.
There's no timetable to complete the investigation, but it's not expected before Denver plays Carolina in the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
League spokesman Brian McCarthy says the inquiry, which began weeks ago, involves reviews of records, interviews and coordination with other agencies.
"The review is ongoing and comprehensive," McCarthy said. "We are working with MLB and USADA."
The five-time MVP's spokesman Ari Fleischer said Manning "welcomes" the investigation.
"There's nothing new here. He denies wrongdoing and it's something Peyton welcomes," Fleischer said in a statement to NBC News.
Al Jazeera reported last month that an intern at an Indianapolis anti-aging clinic was secretly recorded suggesting that Manning's wife received deliveries of HGH, which is banned by the league. Manning, then with the Colts, was rehabbing from shoulder surgeries.
The intern, Charles Sly, has since recanted his story.

ok two nights in a row interesting games in NHL, Lightening and Capitals both at home, on winning streaks, dominant teams against messes (Toronto and Philly).
Anyone care to explain to me how Texas A&M is only -3 tonight at Arkansas? Ive tried to look at all angles objectively and this line simply doesnt make any sense that i can fathom.
A&M is 17-2, 7-0 SEC play, and jumped up to 5th Nationally this week. They have been playing very well, even moreso recently. They have decent wins vs Top 25 teams (Gonzaga & Baylor). Furthermore they have already played Arkansas once this year, winning by 23 points.
Arkansas on the other hand is going in the opposite direction. They are losers of their last 3, and are only 9-10 overall and 3-4 in SEC play. This game is at Arkansas but they dont necessarily dominate their home court. They have lost at home this year to Akron, Georgia Tech, Stanford, MERCER!, and Kentucky. Thats not exactly a murders row of teams.
Some of the sites I look at have A&M as only 45.6% to 53% to cover the 3. There is no reason for this that I see. Can anyone tell me what Im missing? There are no injuries that I see (in fact A&M is getting back Tyler Davis tonight), no suspensions.

What a shit show that game was. The refs waived off 2 and ones in the final 4:00 when the defender was in restricted area and called charges. Phantom fouls on both teams, 50 total fouls. Just an ugly game

Lakers are a fantastic play tonight. Should be +7. They win here outright 25% of the time.
Interesting line on the Pistons-Cavs total tonight. Currently 207.5 but purely by the numbers it should be 199, biggest gap I've seen all year. Lebron and Lue have been making a big deal publicly about ratcheting up the pace. However, the Cavs are not well suited to play run-and-gun, being among the oldest, heaviest and least athletic rosters in the league.
