Since someone asked me on another board about that DNA Info article, here is some insight:



1. CPD ends up getting equipment many times from businesses where a former cop or city official is now a spokesman or paid consultant for that company. #kickbacks

2. The equipment is often times, cheap.

3. The cameras on the car save to a Hard Drive kept in the trunk, and every shift, you have to remove the hd, bring it into the station, and someone has to upload the data. I do not believe that at any point, an officer does this. Its someone else, like IPRA, to assure that there is no improprieties.

4. HD's and Camera's can vibrate heavily while in the car, as these cars are often in high pursuit and/or driving up curbs and hitting potholes. These are cheap pieces of plastic and wires.

5. The City had a contract with that company that, I believe, ended in 2012. The City has a habit, based on how currently fucked financially they are, of not paying for services. Their contract ended several years ago. During that time of the contract, they had a contract for service/repairs. Occasionally, someone would have to come out to try to fix the equipment, however, if its not working, the cops still go out on the street in those cars. They are to report if the equipment is working or not, and after that, its out of the officer's hands. Cameras would go inoperable for months. Not much the cop can do.

6. Audio recordings. The officers were occasionally equipped with audio recorders/microphones that attach to their uniform (there is some type of charging mechanism that is on the center console). **the following is how it was explained to me** Lets say its exactly 10:00pm. The officers get a call from dispatch telling them about something they need to go to. They immediately turn on the lights on their car, and at that very moment, the audio/cameras begin recording. It is saving, to the HD in the trunk, everything from 9:59 forward. This means, that the cops were being recorded the entire time. It also means that, in the event, the cop said something personal (called his wife, his doctor, friends, etc) or said something that was private to his partner, its now on the HD and can be used against him in random ways and is also a potential violation of their privacy. The CPD/FOP has a contract that states that they will not be recorded in their car while not on a call (its fuzzy here...I dont know the full details), but that they are being told that they wont be recorded. The fact that the audio is captured at 9:59 proves that this is a lie, as its always recording. Many times, officers therefore, in order to assure that they are not being recorded, will remove the microphones and stick them in their glove compartments, so they can make personal calls, or do whatever they are doing in their cars. Once the call starts, they (hopefully) put their mics back on, turn on the lights, and proceed to their call. Keep in mind how often then, guys are taking off/putting on the mics. There is a good chance that they will accidentally break them through heavy use. They also have so much gear on that things will break just by getting in/out of the car as often every day as they do. Its a matter of their union negotiating for something, conceding something for that, and then being lied to and them continuing to be recorded. They are upset about it, and will probably continue to remove mics during private conversations, unless someone figures a way to fix their contract dispute. The officers would be disciplined if they were intentionally damaging these items. Will some of them do that? I would say, statistically, yes. The author would like you to believe that 80% of the time, the officers are destroying their equipment to hide things. You can make your own conclusions. Cheap gear, gets bounced around and abused daily. Its going to break. They report it and wait for someone to fix it, by a company that hasnt been paid by the city for years.

7. Broken equipment. Getting back to the contract that expired in 2012. The city didnt pay that company, so equipment has been broken for quite a while. Since the LaQuan 16 shots incident, The City (Rahm) approved paying that company around $1 mil. This, combined with the fact that the ACLU/Aldermen demanded a law requiring the CPD to now do extra paperwork (that is a duplication of already existing work, and way more time consuming), where lawyers go through every piece of paperwork looking for errors (which could result in suspensions/firings), and other laws, the police are now not going out on calls until their equipment is in perfect working order. There have been times where the technician has been called to a station multiple times in one day to fix random camera/mic issues. This means reduced cars/cops on patrol, however, a large majority of the vehicles are now equipped with working mics/cameras. The officers now have working gear on a majority of the vehicles (guessing 70% of police cars now have cameras/mics). They will be rolling out body cams to all the areas (the city of Chicago is broken up into 25 districts). I believe around 4-6 have them now, with more coming very soon. I have a great feeling, that if they can get this program working properly, that it will greatly reduce any claims of police abuse/improprieties, along with a drastic reduction in the amount of complaints made against police.


The author gets creative, as he always does with CPD themed stories, when he reports on these issues. You wont read his articles unless he grabs you with the sensationalism.

for anyone that DOES care about this Chicago shit, the cops have something called VRI. I think it stands for Violence Reduction Initiative. They are allowing cops to earn (not sure how...good work?..senority?) VRI, which means its an overtime job where you and a partner sit in a police car, and they place those cars in various spots in mostly the rough areas. All they do is park and sit. I was told that, in many cases, some of the neighborhoods are so fucking bad, that there is a cop car on EVERY BLOCK!

they just announced today that since the violence has gotten completely out of hand this month (I havent posted anything in a few weeks, but its a fucking bloodbath, with Homicides off the charts, car jackings, shootings, etc all out of control, since the "bad elements" now know what the cops have to deal with). They are putting 370is more cops in cars to park their cars and make OT pay.

Seriously...cop cars parked on every block, just to let the thugs know that they are there and to stop shooting each other. its fucked up. There was one area that had almost 20 cars parked, approximately 1 car on each block. for like a square mile.

He did not want to leave, I begged him to go. He asked me for a "sammich" when he was picked up and I promised him one. I cried with him over Lavoy while he walked. He walked over 6 miles in the dark and freezing cold because he had no car to leave in.
He was not named in the warrants and was not armed. I'm so sad that my friend was put through this.

In other matters, I want to point out that today Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward, a former BLM agent who betrayed the Hammonds, admitted to working with the FBI and OSP (Oregon State Police) on ways to "take them down", speaking of Ammon and LaVoy. Remember, Ward is not an elected Sheriff. In 2015, corrupt Judge Steve Grasty chose a committee to appoint a new Sheriff. Ward is indebted to Grasty for helping him get his position as Sheriff. Grasty and Ward are two sides of the same evil BLM coin.

I've been listening to the local EMS / Fire dispatch and there isn't any chatter or information to suggest that any operations are currently live.

The FBI has given the occupiers until 4 am local time to vacate the refuge. There may not be any significant action until at least that point. Will post any new information as it comes available.

FBI update: 5 of 8 men who left the refuge were released. Jason Patrick, Duane and Dylan Anderson of Provo turned themselves in and were charged with felonies similar to the ones that Ammon was charged with.

"In the early morning hours of January 27, 2016, the FBI and Oregon State Police (OSP) established a series of checkpoints at major roads in and out of the refuge. In the hours prior to the checkpoints, several vehicles are known to have left the area. Since the establishment of checkpoints, a total of eight people have left the refuge. Of those, the FBI released five and arrested three."

"At approximately 3:30 pm, the FBI made probable cause arrests of Duane Leo Ehmer, age 45, of Irrigon, Oregon, and Dylan Wade Anderson, age 34, of Provo, Utah. At approximately, 7:40 pm, agents made a probable cause arrest of Jason S. Patrick, age 43, of Bonaire, Georgia. All were in contact with the FBI, and each chose to turn himself into agents at a checkpoint outside the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The arrests were without incident. "

"Each man faces one federal felony count of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 372."

"The FBI and our partners continue to work around the clock to empty the refuge of the armed occupiers in the safest way possible."

No news from the small handful of remaining militia.

However, one interesting fact regarding the arrest of Ammon.... The authorities set up the roadblock in the strategic stretch of road that passes through a canyon where cell phones have trouble getting service and the narrow path makes it nearly impossible to turn a vehicle around. The location gave the authorities a geographical advantage.

The FBI has employed effective psychological tactics against the militia. By repeatedly staging false assaults throughout last night and today they have kept militia members in a state of disorganization and in constant fear of an imminent attack. Ordering the media to withdraw caused the militia to believe that a massive and brutal attack might ensue. Having cut off the head of the leadership structure, the many of the remaining militia members scattered and outside militia factions decided to play a "wait and see" approach. There is still a number of militia holdouts and there is still a chance that the situation could result in bloodshed. But the constant aerial mission over the refuge, as well as the knowledge that the compound was completely surrounded with no chance of being resupplied, the green members of the militia chose to accept the offers of "free passage" out of the refuge.

This situation is still fluid and much can still happen, but with the approaching deadline of 4 am MST nearing, it is possible that the authorities will cut power and water to the compound, jam electronics and sit back and wait for the holdouts to surrender. With LaVoy's blood already on their hands, the federal authorities might be willing to sit and wait a bit longer. What they've done so far has proven effective. BUT... this battle has given other militias much to study, analyze and prepare for when the time comes for a renewed rebellion against the grand bureaucracy of the Empire.
