Not selling ETE. This is a 5-10 bagger once oil recovers.
Yes. You have taken it like a champ. But you didn't seem to learn the expensive lessen of the experience: Diversify except where you have a competitive advantage (e.g. your business). Meaning, make bank with your business each year (e.g. $400,000+ per what you have mentioned m), and sock away $100,000 a year into a diversify financial portfolio for the next 20 years. And by then, you will hopefully be able to sell the business for 8-10 times your net to the next generation, and retire to some low-cost ex-pat paradise like Costs Rica, sitting on a serious pile of cash and living like a king.

Or ignore the lesson and bugger off 50% or more of your potential future wealth jerking around in the market like a gullible noob.

AAPL reports earnings tomorrow. Nobody expecting any love. I personally can't see any reason Apple will thrill.

AAPL has taken a 25% haircut.

Market sold into the close hard.... Oil down... doom & gloom

Bought. Apple Inc.160129C00100000-AAPL-CALL $3.00 at close.
    Apple $100 call expires Friday

Total opposite pick. You'll prolly get a shot at cheaper call tomorrow morning

Ate my balls gambling on January '15 AAPL puts. Market finally sobering up.

I would literally bet my life we see 50 before 150.

Still got that subscription to Money magazine?

    Last 20 years diversified portfolio returned 8% (1994). 100k --> 530k
    Last 20 years inflation cumulative 60%. 100k ---> spends like $160k

Deferred taxes blah blah blah Pooh would be paying more heed to Druff's coupon clipping threads.

Pooh should avoid all risk and quit his business and work some salary job for some fat conglomerate, right?

    Winners embrace risk.

I haven't been here in a while, but I can only assume you idiots are burning money at unfathomable clips.

LONG BONDS, SHORT EQUITIES HAS BEEN MY PLAY THE PAST TWO WEEKS. It will continue to be my position for all of 2016.

Energy will be outperform every sector in 3-5 years. High yield credit spread is worrying however, as I believe it's over 8bp now. Bankrupticies/restructurings will continue to weigh on crude futures.

Where did I say that? Pooh has a competitive advantage in running his business. He doesn't have one investing in the stock market. He should embrace risk where he has a competitive advantage, such as expanding his business. What competitive advantage does he have predicting the price of oil???

Tell us because there is a way to make money from it 100% of the time. It's a damn guarantee. Let's see if you understand high finance twat lips.

Kid lives on a Florida Gulf Coast key. Rock solid choice. The development around Naples is off the hook.

I am gonna short TSLA every chance I get. No reason to live. Solar. All that stupid shit

China & the world gonna wish they had the circuit breakers still in place. China syndrome

Only in this world can a $3.50 stock miss earnings by - $3.25 and be up $.35 in pre market.

    Strange world indeed

lol. Nice read. MLPL triggered its 60% down in a month auto acceleration for a smooth 151k loss. Will be purchasing ten thousand shares ETE tomorrow plus hopefully another ten thousand shares when I get my money back from MLPL in early Feb. What a fucking bloodbath. That will be close to all in with whatever money I have left. I may still be worth a million but not by much that's for damn sure.
Oil is jammin around the high end .... $34 tonight at one point. I am ready to pop the cork with Pooh. But wait, ETE isn't playing. This thing looks like a junk bond. WTF. What was wrong with UWTI?

Was gonna suggest some kind of China exposure for a quick gamble. Something like FXI. The China stock market is almost entirely retail investors (and government shananigans). Those Chinese love a gamble and will be sporting a billion little woodies when they see this dead cat bounce. There are some fundamentals to support the play but let's not lose focus.

Bail Bitcoins and put your cash to work Wang Chow.

Edit: we gonna gap up this morning. Krypt, watch AMZN gonna be brutal. Down $85-90 last night. Quick fingers with some options. Two or three screens all primed for the bounce off capit. 5 minutes will be a long trade.

ETE is not a pure oil play for sure. This one will take a couple years to play out.

Investors are concerned that ETE's merger with Williams Co is now a bad deal that will hobble the company due to the $6b in debt needed to complete the merger. $34/barrel isn't going to be enough to reboot the domestic energy industry.

Nice google job. You do understand ETE is king of natural gas after this deal, correct? Of course you don't because you read one little article on a company you've never heard of before and decided to post like you know what the fuck is going on. They will be the leader of natural gas exports for the US and it isn't close. Do you have any idea what they pay for natural gas where the cocks are uncut and smelly compared to what we pay here? Of course you don't. Do some more research next time you're at a rest stop and then come back and report.

THIS TRADE WILL TAKE A COUPLE YEARS TO PLAY OUT.

    Thank you

Heard nat gas was acting up today. Will follow this.

Pull up the daily on AMZN. The first 5-10 min were beautiful and really not too scary. Some options were expiring today so you were about as 1:1 as you can get. If you couldn't grab at least a double you weren't reading my post yesterday.

Not right all the time but god that felt so good. Even though they sold off after-hours following earnings call last night it had enough to spin a positive argument and the futures were up. Perfect mix of pain & pleasure.

We are playing with a yo yo on the escalator down. Not original but I keep playing this in my head. Juice baby.

If they can weather the slumping energy commodity markets while shouldering the $6b in debt, you'll have made a great trade. If they can't, and need an equity partner to get them through the slumping prices, not so much.

    Thank you
Also, I'm aware that US nat gas prices are lower than Europe's and Japan's, but I recall reading a few years ago that the cost of converting and shipping LNG is about $3-$4/MMBtu. And nat gas prices overseas have also tumbled. When it was about $12 in Europe, and about $4 in the US, the profits from exporting LNG would be great. But nearly as much now.

So will the LNG export business suffer like the shale oil plays in the 80's if world energy commodity prices persist in the doldrums for a decade? And will ETE get through that price slump without have to dilute equity?
