I do think there is a great chance Obama sits back and avoids a Ruby Ridge on his watch by instructing local LE to deal with this until that goes south. Eventually they may just tear gas them into submission, but I cant see this turning into another Waco, not by a long shot, not with this president.

Here in my neck of the woods these guys are successful in privatizing ex govt land. Anyone used to be able to have access to the land all over the place. Now you can't go more than a quarter mile on most dirt roads before you runs into locked gates and no trespassing warnings. Hang out any where near their land and they'll have the Sheriffs called in no time.
They guard and monitor their land like you wouldn't fuckin believe. Like there's gold bars and bags of cash laying around. Only thing of value is the occasional cow or two like it's always been. They buy the land, cattle guards are removed and locked gates installed, everywhere!
You won't believe how many kids get tickets riding their quads on paved roads because there's no access to dirt roads, none! When I was a kid we could ride quads all summer long and not run out of cool places to check out. Lot's of high school/college age youngsters busted for underage drinking or weed because there's no where to go that isn't paved n patrolled. Seems like everyone from that generation is on probation or paying a big fine.

On a real note, because the justice system is fucked this is unfortunately what these men saw as their only option . The sad truth is that this won't end well for anyone, and they didn't have the money to afford a lawyer so had to instead escalate it to these levels.
