They suspended him? I call b.s. that they are even mad at him. Hell they might have wanted him to say it. If it was really that offensive to the network why did it make it to air. Live programming has a broadcast delay right? This guy has a reputation. They would have sat there and waited for something to bleep and or pull him off the air. If they didn't want it to make the air it wouldn't have.
