Well, Kobe is starting to look like 2015 Kobe again, down to 6-for-16 shooting (after a 5-for-11 start).

He has drained 4 three pointers out of 11, though.

Philly playing awful, though, and are still down 8 despite Lakers only shooting 44%.

It's halftime, and I probably won't bet this one, as 8 is too close of a margin, even though I believe Philly will do better in the 2nd half, especially as old Kobe tires.

For Pelicans, Tyreke Evans and Norris Cole are both back tonight.

Well, Bovada has Philly -3 -110 and Cleveland -8 -115 (down 11 at the half, despite being at HOME versus a 6-8 Washington team).

So I'm taking both and holding my breath.

Neither is my "conventional" halftime bet, so beware.

So far my prediction of an epic Lakers fail at Philly hasn't come true.... 33-28 Lakers right now... but that's thanks to Kobe's 5-for-11 shooting, which shouldn't last. I don't care how emotional this return home is for him. His body is shot. Public loved Philly, moving line from +1 to -2 (I got it early, thankfully).

I really hope Rubio plays tonight, or I think we are fucked.

I should just quit these halftime bets which stray from my formula. They aren't working out for me.

They come out against a mediocre team, down 11 at halftime at home, and give up another 8 straight points.

So I can kiss that money goodbye, barring a major turnaround. What a joke. I guess they were due for a breakdown at home after starting 9-0, but geez.

Kind of a mini-fight at the Lakers/Philly game where Hibbert went nuts after his jersey was grabbed, and everyone started shoving one another.

Fault on both sides, but Hibbert shoved a ref (maybe accidentally), so perhaps ejections coming.

Lakers are MELTING DOWN, with the Sixers now up 94-80.

Looks like my repeated prediction that the Sixers would win tonight is going to be correct.

Sadly, looks like my other two bets (especially the halftime Cavs) are going to lose.

So 2-2 looks likely today.

I guess I still have an outside shot to win Minnesota if Orlando shits the bed in the 2nd half, but I'm not betting Minn -5 at halftime.

BTW, if Philly doesn't get its first win before Tuesday, then expect them to do it on that day against the Lakers.

They're going to be at Memphis tomorrow, but will likely lose that game. Unless they pull off that upset, they should beat the hapless Lakers, especially since Philly has played 4 consecutive close games where they just barely came up short (including an almost epic comeback in Houston last time out).

And in the great irony of Kobe Bryant's career, he finally did something for the city of Philadelphia where he grew up.

With Minnesota down 17, I am pretty safe calling this a 2-2 day, and I'm now a middling 19-19 for the year.
