Sloppy Joe: Stone rep. Had some DIPA from that brewery this week. Fucking tasty.

Boynton Beach Florida is going through a bit of a beer boom right now. We got two breweries in town Copperpoint and Due South and both are hammering out great beers. Due south has put limitations on many of the beer selections as there just isn't enough to go around.

If you stumble across either give them a shot.

Pretty awful. Had high hopes for it. Didn't know it was created by Budweiser. Tastes like a chemistry set.

I was in SD on vacation a couple weeks back and couldn't find that Grapefruit version anywhere, so I drank the regular which is now in my top 2 of IPAs, it has excellent flavor and isn't bitter for the sake of being bitter like some others.

These were all pretty good. They have a mix and match 6 pack at Kroger for $10. The Poet was the real standout in this crowd.

It's middlin'. That Ichabad was the best pumpkin style beer i've ever tasted and i hate what i've had up to that. The jaw jacker is too harsh fizz. The chocolate atwater was really nice. The white hatter will do fine too.

I've had all of those except for the White Hatter.

The Founders Porter is my favorite of those and New Holland Ichabad would be next. I can drink Poet but it's very mediocre compared to a lot of Oatmeal Stout beers out there.

Your palette is different than mine then. How would you stack The Poet vs Sam's Cherry Wheat? BTW Founders Porter is a goto if there isn't anything exotic around for me.

Continuously hopped dogfishhead, very bright, hoppy flavor. Tasted like fresh weed.

I wouldn't really compare The Poet with Sam's Cherry Wheat because of the style of beer but I'll go with this:

The Poet >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sam Adams Cherry Wheat

Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Poet

Founders Breakfast Stout >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Poet

If you like porters, look for this beauty. It's smokey flavor is almost like drinking a grilled steak.

Will try it but always found New Belgium offerings to be a bit disappointing compared to other Colorado breweries.

Since moving to Portland and trying around or months, I find most Oregon craft beer to be pretty good, but not great.
