I had the exact same problem a couple months back. It was my router. Got a new one & I was back in business.

We had this same discussion some months back. Chances are the router is your problem, or you have a shot wireless card. Get an ethernet cable and hardline into your modem and run the speed test again. Report back with results.

factory reset on the modem, good to go. There was some stupid pinhole in the back that you had to hold down for 20 seconds

    Settle down, nerds.

Once you pass a certain (relatively low, like 10 Mbps) speed threshold, modern websites all load at the same speed. It's more about your computer's processor speed and installed programs (along with any operating system corruption) which determines the speed that you display pages on your end.

High download speeds are only helpful when downloading large media, such as movies, or streaming HD video.

PFA loaded quickly for LegalizeMeth when he was having his problems because I took care when designing the site not to have any large image files (or anything else data-heavy) loading on the page.

That is what tons of people do a decent amount of these days (and for a while now) which is exactly why fast speeds are important.
