Just because one is African American does not mean they suddenly play a card and avoid looking at history. I can be glad slavery was abolished and rational as to exactly why and what the factors were. I would have supported Lincoln of course, yes freedom sounds wonderful, thank you but he wouldn't have invited me into a political discussion or allow any position equal to a white man in government because after all I am a negro still. I'm no history buff, but I believe you're taking things out of context here. Frederick was initially a detractor of Lincoln but quickly changed his attitude towards Lincoln after meeting with him several times and going to several speeches. He was an advocate for Lincoln at the time of his assassination.

There's nothing to disagree about here? What point are you trying to make? Frederick Douglass referred to him as the "greatest president" and got what he was fighting for BECAUSE of Lincoln. Just because they had some disagreements on what should be done doesn't mean he hated Lincoln.

I mean there's no debate here, Frederick Douglass was an advocate of Lincoln in the end. There's no evidence that suggests otherwise, other than your shitty opinion almost 150 years after the fact.
