2013 was a lucky year. They were the best team and deserved the win, but they were lucky to be able to dump that 2012 team and get the right mix back right away. Worst to first is rare and they shouldn't think they could do it again and have it turn out like 2013.
I don't think he was really trying to sell that. I just think he was trying to boost their confidence and couldn't say we have 5 shitbags! He knew they sucked or were average 3-4-5 guys

They need to probably blow it up again and I think they will move a ton of guys provided they don't rip off 18 of 20 and that prob will not happen
They sure didn't need to lock up Porcello at 20 million a year. That was wild. Everyone in Detroit was wtf on that one.

The main problem is that Ortiz might be done. If not this year, it's coming soon.
