The Court's docket indicates that attorney Schonfeld (Chessnoff's partner) has now officially appeared in the case as of this week, that Micon's passport "travel restriction" has been lifted, and that some sort of deal to appear and face the charges has been reached:
"Reissue Arrest Warrant, the Defendant to do the O/R Walkthrough Process."

After getting their ass kicked on the other case, do you think they will offer a significantly better deal to say they "won"?

Im not a Nevada lawyer and have very limited criminal law experience. In California this would be a small pimple. Nevada is a different animal and there is no doubt that there are behind the scenes influences going both ways. If the statute mandates some prison time, then Micon is out of luck unless he can get credit for house arrest while the case works its way through the system. But if there's any wiggle room at all in terms of the punishment, my hunch is that this is a fine + probation given the facts of this case and Micon's family and financial circumstances.Originally Posted by simpdog

His terms of probation will clearly state that he can't run or work for any sort of online gambling site again.
So he can't go back to being "Chairman of Seals", nor can he continue to promote or be the face of SWC in any way. I suppose he could continue running SWC in the shadows (as I believe he's been doing for the past 2 months), claiming that someone else actually owns it. But what is that going to get him? People played on Seals because Micon attached it to his name and identity. If the message presented to the public about SWC is, "I don't run this anymore, but you can totally trust the anonymous Euro guys who do", it's never going to grow, and will eventually dwindle to nothing. Even if some people understand that he really still runs it in a wink-wink-nudge-nudge way, that won't be enough to get any kind of real traffic there.
Plus, he would be violating probation, and I'm not sure he'd risk that just for the relatively small income SWC will bring him.
It's possible that he's willing to just give it all up, and plans to live on whatever bitcoin he has saved, or perhaps he thinks he will return to poker and start making money again like it's Party Poker in 2004. But I'm not sure if his plans are to return to the US and just live out a normal life. Recall he planned to move to Antigua before all of this went down. It's possible that he just wants to beat this (so he can return to the US at will without worrying about being arrested), but will live abroad and try to run gambling sites from those places, maybe this time being more in the shadows.
If I were him, I would get the charges cleared in Nevada, pack his bags, and head to Costa Rica to run Seals or whatever the fuck its called now. Maybe start a shell LLC, get backers, use the slush fund to get Costa Rican citizenship so everything is on the up and up.

I get the whole no dox thing on SWC, but what would happen if the signup page makes it very clear that the site is totally prohibited in Nevada and you must click a terms and conditions box saying that under no circumstances would you play from Nevada.
Would that be enough to avoid future trouble?

He takes a plea, he is getting put on probation for an undetermined amount of time regardless of anything else. Could be a year, could be 5. Standard is 3 usually.
During that period he will have conditions, such as....you must have...A JOB. A real one. That you actually go to...and work.
You can't leave the state for any reason, and if you want do it won't be for long, will need to get approved by PO. But they aren't likely to let him go anywhere for more than a weekend, for family business only.
Oh and of course, no drugs or alcohol. That should be fun!
Now knowing the Icon, we might have a few issues here. He could have a gazillion bitcoin in the bank, they don't care. He will be treated like anyone else on probation.
The real kicker is that for the dissident, rebel Micon is, he will be under the full control of the government 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The man will have him under his thumb, oppressing him every waking moment of his daily life. They say come see them, you go. Tbey say piss, you piss. They come to the front door and say we are searching your house, you must let them in with a smile.
It will be hell on earth for a freedom fighting martyr like the Icon. The government will control every aspect of his life.

Yea hearing has been set for next Thursday and warrant recalled so Micon can travel.....will be interesting. I doubt that a plea deal has already been agreed to but perhaps....
Its safe to say a plea framework has been agreed to, but whether or not they rendition Micon the second he steps foot into the courthouse regardless is the question du jour.
