    UFC 188: Cain-Werdum, a great warm-up for Kimbo-Shamrock next week

At a moderately sickening altitude of ~7200 ft, the UFC serves up some Brown Pride for the first time in over 600 days, or something.

If you like dogs, there are plenty to be found here. Would be over the moon if Werdum pulled this one off. Melendez-Alvarez been a long time coming. Bottom fight on the card already pulled because the late replacement fighter hit the deck while cutting weight. IV in, fighter out.

    Weigh-ins in a little while.

Once we get this little event over with, we can really get the Kimbo-Ken Shamrock hype train started. Gonna be the most-watched MMA event of the year, fo sho.

Throwing thousands on Werdum . This is what happens when you are in Vegas and bored:

(some picks for the day). The AUS/Nigeria pick already a fail

i know some sharps who are going in on werdum. im holding off because i think werdum starts slow and cain doesnt, and cain has a super conservative top game.

+400 for him is just way too much of a steal imo. There are too many question marks surrounding Cain. lol at this whole Mexican/brown pride BS surrounding Cain. He was born in fucking Los Angeles.

Any one have any good dogs they like besides Werdum? I got 2k on him at +400. He probably gets destroyed but I just think +400 is too good to pass up.

I know it is a month away but does anyone else think Aldo is a steal at -110?

I'd be pretty careful with that. Altitude also diminishes finishing power. If guys aren't getting KO'd quick, there could be a lot of 3rd round finishes or decisions.

+650?!? Camus was one of the most influential writers in the history of mankind, +650 is outrageous.

I was into mma before the plague of doping scandals brought about the fall.

    Benitez +210

    Alvarez/Melendez Under Rounds 2.5 +180

    Marqurdt +400

    Torres -300

Verdum +400 (I think Cain is a fav but not THAT big)

If I were guessing the line before seeing it, I would of said +325. I got it at +400 which is good value no matter who you think will win.

Cain is coming off an injury and Werdum has better jiujitsu and is used to the altitude from fighting the last fight versus Hunt. He is a very live dog.

That being said, Cain has unbelievable cardio, fighting "at home" in Mexico, and is a better boxer/striker, even with Werdum's improvements in that area which he showed vs Browne and Hunt. Should be a fun fight.
