This is a total "law of diminishing returns" thing, where the people likely to donate will do so at the beginning, and after that it slows down tremendously. He will get a few hundred here and there from people who find out about it a bit late, but that's pretty much it.
The $3900 he's raised (and $1000 of it is very suspect, as it appeared within 20 minutes of him starting the campaign) will do very little for a lawyer like Chesnoff/Schonfeld.
