I saw the trailer for this last year and giggled. Then this week I saw it on my Netflix menu and watched it out of morbid curiosity.

It's the funniest movie I've seen in a long time.

What? I'm not trying to make a joke if that's what you mean. This movie is legit hilarious. Non-stop unintentional comedy.

A quick look at Rotten Tomatoes

    17% Critic
79% Audience - i.e. the get out the God vote. I am sure that is what this score represents.

No where is there a mention of humor.

You two go to a Chrisitan college or something?

Yes, it's awful. Comically so. Think Troll 2 or The Room. I did say the comedy is unintentional.

    You're tearing me apart, Sanlmar.

No man. I appreciate your slightly cynical sense of humor. Usually, some pretty smart stuff. So my trust in your recommendation was strictly faith-based.

You might imagine my disappointment to see some Liberty University educational video.

I was open to a cool level. That might have been funny.

    I just can't.

Props for offering more than, "I thought this was a great/funny movie" and responding.

Co-signed, this movie is hilarious. Gets better as it goes on, especially the end.

Sad that Americans are so stupid for shit like this to exist but legit hilarious.

All right, my turn in the barrel,

Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling to Star in Financial Drama ‘The Big Short’ . This is the film adaptation of Michael Lewis's book by the same name.

Still a long way from release.

This is the Lewis’ nonfiction story of the build-up of the housing and credit bubble during the 2000s that led to the financial crisis of 2007-2010. The scoundrels and heroes in this book were epic characters. Some made billions. Others are hiding in Costa Rica to this day and refuse to talk.

I am a huge fan of Lewis. Liars Poker, Moneyball, Flash Boys, The Blind Side. Tells complicated financial stories through character driven narrative. Stories are true with real characters. Can't make this shit up.

It came as a shock to see Pitt, Goseling, etc. sign up. I am hopeful.

Don't know if there will be dwarf tossing in this.

I literally cheered at the end, because

I predicted they would run with the deathbed conversion trope, but I was expecting it to be the left-wing blogger at first.

"Well I guess they're showing some restraint."

Interstellar was really good and and emotional, not your typical sci fi..love those anti enviromentalst commercials he does for Lincoln. Well to be honest it's anti environmental extremism not antienvironment..thank god for common sense.

The Thirteenth Floor (1999) - This movie is better than the rating it got on imdb -> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0139809/

I never bothered to watch it because it only had 7/10 rating but it's a pretty decent sci-fi overall.

I really liked it. It was overshadowed by The Matrix and Dark City at the time. I don't think it garnered much interest. I think Gretchen Mol and Vincent D'Onofrio are ALWAYS interesting.

Existenz and 13th floor both were severely underrated. But that's what happens when you're one of many on similar topics.

On another note I remember sitting watching the first 5-10 mins of The Game in theater. Almost left thought it was stupid couldn't get into it. Then smack it got going and turned into an awesome movie.

I'm adding to the love for Nightcrawler, really enjoyed it.

Ending a bit shaky but absolutely fantastic otherwise.
