Pooh, I'm trying to gently explain to you that you're being a scrub. I posted at NWP, a lot, and I dont consider myself in anything like a position to judge ugaistheteam's conduct, simply because I was a total jerkoff looking for attention there and make no bones about it. People in ugaistheteam's circle were not jerkoffs, and were not there looking for attention. They were actually part of a really unique, interesting crew, the soul of which is currently incarnated here.
My point is; when you call out people like ugaistheteam for reaching out in a time of unfathomable need to people he considers family, you are declaring unequivocally that you have very poor character, have no idea what the real history of this place is, and basically dont know how to act.
I suppose I should have paid attention to the multitude of people here accusing you of exactly that for a long ass time but I preferred to give you the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned I suppose.

Look brotha, the guy had his own thread, he even got a shoutout from Druff on radio on more than one occasion for donations. Randomly asking for more money to other posters is just bad fucking form. Amirite? If we wanted to donate we would've like four months ago.
How much did you give btw?
wow garretts quest to raise tines blood pressure till he dies is coming along masterfully well played gbone
I swear I knew this thread was coming eventually.
My take. He definitely is not scamming (even close) by the true since of the word. Its without question that having a stroke where part of your body is paralyzed is beyond horrific. Unimaginable. I mean, it ruins my day sometimes at my advanced age when I need to rest for an hour or so because big drex will function again. I'm starting to feel my age.
I think (like Druff said) he didn't have savings in the back and likely his friends and family aren't of means and are unable to do much for him.
I have to think he realizes his subtle little comments in various threads and how the community might perceive him. But a desperate person will do desperate things. He has kids, a wife, that he totally supported before the stroke. It's just a bad spot. Not like we can chide him for being a lazy stroke victim for not getting a job.
I'm friends with him on that facebook and it does truly seem that his friends and family can't afford to do much for him.
At the same time though, most regs on here no the situation. It's more or less if you donated before, it ain't going to happen now. So I agree the subtle comments in threads asking for money should decease. I think its kind of making everyone uncomfortable.
With that said, I sent a couple hundred with Cmoney so he could have a nice thanksgiving.
That's my read on him but again I tgought Juan Sepulevda was going to get me a show on Sportscenter with Stuart Scott before he died (Juan promised me he would). So obviously take everything I say with a grain of salt.

i feel like chiding a stroke victim for being lazy might be the pinnacle of forum comedy though if we realllly think about it i say we go with it
There are some real thoroughbred pieces of shit on this site.

when i guaranteed have a stroke before my 34th birthday im not expecting a pass
Pooh, you're definitely smart enough to understand my point.
He isn't scamming. He is in a desperate situation, which in turn make people act desperate. I would have to think it embarrasses him begging on here, on FB, on the rest of the web.
But I definitely see how after posting in Marty's I beat 100 villages in Holdem contest how some may feel.
I just think everyone who wanted to help him has. Those who haven't aren't. And I know this may sound like a dick (and I've known the guy a decade on here) but posting anymore insinuating or straight up asking for money is in bad form and again it's making others unconfortable.

Naturally I defer to your opinion on the subject Zod and I certainly see what youre saying about how it might make people uncomfortable, but I think when you have family to support and some shit like that comes along, forum decorum takes a back seat to real world shit like electricity getting cut off. I err on the side of compassion here, and I dont expect uga to take it to a point where I'd come close to agreeing with some of the opinions being expressed here.

Shout out to Garret's bad karma.
Seriously though... IMO it's very bad form to call a guy out who is 100% in a horrible situation.
Is Garret trying to say he is lying about having a stroke? Because if that's the case, it's pretty well known by people that are actually real life friends with the guy that he ain't lying.
So, if Garret is trying to say he did have a stroke, but is trying to scam... Well, I can't even begin to understand the thought process there. That is a warped sense of reality.
Pooh stop trying to act like youre someone to be taken seriously, its pretty much over for you here.
