THIS is what turned Anonymous against Islamic terrorism? Not the 3,000+ deaths of 9/11? Not the countless other highly deadly attacks around the world?

I get what they're trying to say. They see it as an assault on free speech, so now they want to go after the terrorists. But whether you're murdering 12 people to silence free speech, or murdering hundreds or thousands just because you don't like the foreign policies of the west, you're still murdering innocents. And it's really all the same. People aren't any more or less dead because of the reason they were murdered.

But the biggest laughable thing here is that Anonymous is mostly powerless against the terrorists. They're threatening to break social media accounts and websites of the terrorists, but the US government already has the power to do this. In fact, Anonymous will HURT the fight against terrorism by doing this, as often these accounts and websites are allowed to persist, so information can be gleaned from them and their visitors.

Anonymous has always looked dumb when inserting itself into political matters, but this is the most idiotic thing yet.

I've always said that Anonymous would be most effective focusing their efforts upon exposing corruption within corporations. I'm talking about hacking corporations suspected of misbehavior, obtaining incriminating documents, and making them public. But all I've been seeing from them recently have been silly threats against terrorists, and picking pet political issues, such as the Occupy movement. That's not what being an activist hacker should be about.

So you have a bunch of middle-aged neckbeards who basically resent the world because, despite their high level of intelligence, they didn't achieve much success. Many are unemployed. Others are low-level network admins, making an okay salary, but not commensurate with their intellect. Others hold low-paying tech jobs, such as working tech support for the cable company.

The bottom line is that these are people with little power and little money, and unlike being a teen where that's expected, it starts to hurt a lot more once you're 35 and realize you're not going to ever achieve any of your lofty dreams.

Now that Anonymous is both revered and feared by the media, they develop an arrogant power complex, and believe they can rule everything.

It doesn't surprise me that they supported Occupy, because the "corporations" represented everything they hated -- basically seemingly less intelligent people who were far more successful than they were.

Last time I am posting in this thread. I just want to prove what a moron you are before leaving for good (and that you are not qualified to analyze anything). Have you actually watched the video? When they run back to the car you can see the liquid from under the car continuing to flow. About half a foot over 3-4 secs. And what a surprise there is a shitload behind the car as they are driving off. No idea what sort of fluid but pretty obvious to anyone with a brain that the vehicle is leaking fluid and quickly.
