Not looking for any safe, I can get that. I am looking for a legitimate risk, but not a blackjack hand. I'll stop gap 20% but I am not looking for penny stocks.

Invest in oil related stocks. SDRL is a good one that I believe will get you a 100% return over the next 1 to 3 years.

If you want a quick 40% return, get into drug dealing. Otherwise, I suggest a mutual fund. My best investment over the past 4 years has been Brown Capital (BCSIX). It is closely tied to the Russell 2000. Up 58% over the past 4 years.
