When I started this forum in 2012, I made it clear that I was going to be mostly hands off, but I wasn't interested in making this a place where people fuck with me for amusement.
It's just not fun for me to have some asshole saying nasty/degrading things in nearly every thread I start, especially the more serious ones.
I don't run this thing for profit, so if it stops being fun for me, my choices are either to take it down or change what's bothering me. I chose the latter.
I don't think you'll find many forums where the owner both participates and is willing to take as much shit as I do. I just decided I had enough of this guy.

So just to clarify. The only reason this will ever happen is if someone does these things to you. If they do this to any other user it won't matter. If someone or multiple people are making the fun not fun for someone other than you it doesn't matter.

Fluffer was banned for saying things to HIM, on HIS site. I think he pretty much has to address the question using I and MY.

I have asked certain people before to stop/tone down the trolling in matters that didn't involve me.
If I was banning fluffer simply for bashing me, he would have been gone in 2012. He was banned for doing it obsessively and refusing to stop when asked.
Do I show myself favoritism here over other users? Of fucking course I do. But it's my site, so I have a right to do that. Everyone would.
The bottom line is that you're not going to find many forums where the owner both actively participates and allows you to bash him. I tolerate a lot, but when someone's main purpose here becomes bashing me for lulz, that's when I don't want it.
Btw, I also take into account the tone of the posts. So like if he were just making funny/clever but harmless remarks, no big deal, even if they were persistent. But fluffer went out of his way to say really mean, nasty stuff that he thought would really bite at me. I don't want that type of shit on a site I run for free.
