At the end of the day their resume just aint good enough and most of the teams that moved ahead of them got big wins yesterday vs quality opponents

Other teams won against tougher competition and propelled themselves ahead of them. Gone are the days of winning and maintaining your ranking spot which I think is good for the rankings/playoffs etc... Over the years so many teams were voted champions because they started a season off ranked higher than another team. They didn't do anything wrong but they did lose to Baylor who beat a top 25 team yesterday which improved Baylors case.

I did get off bets on Atlanta -6 -105 ($735 to win $700) and Lakers/NO Over 209 ($770 to win $700).
Public LOVES Atlanta here, as line has moved to -6.5 -105, so I got an extra half point on Bovada, but got a full point worse than when I picked the game.
The line on Lakers/NO moved from 210 to 209 because the public apparently likes the under.
I feel stronger about the Atlanta pick than the Lakers over, though not because of the public's money.
