as for earlier post in the thread sneering about using a weapon (gun): only a fool or soon dead hero gets into a fair fight, stack the odds in your favor by having a gun, knowing how to use it and staying in practice

This Beau guy had her stop the vehicle at which time he exited with the weapon. Bottom line is that her man wanted to look like a tough guy then got scared and pulled a bitch move with the gun when he realized he couldn't take the guy one on one. If he ever joins PFA he should be Splitthat because he definitely has a gash between his legs also.

Last year, two guys driving to Vegas got into a confrontation on I-15. One car's driver was Mexican and alone, the other car was driven by a black man with a passenger. All involved were male.
They both exited eventually, presumably to take the confrontation outside their respective cars.
The black driver got out of his car first.
The Mexican opted not to get out, but rather to just drive by and shoot him.
The black guy ended up surviving, mostly because he had a passenger who called 911 and got a helicopter over to airlift him to the hospital. The Mexican guy was somehow tracked down within hours and arrested.
Anyway, getting out of your car and challenging the other driver may seem like a brave thing to do, but you never know when the other person will just pull a gun and shoot you. And even if you have a gun, the other party may as well, and it may turn into a shootout.
Just isn't worth it for a road rage thing.

Beau tries to get tough and tells you to pull over the car (which you do, like a fool), realizes that meathead isn't fucking around, and that he's not as tough as he was in the car, and pulls a gun. If meathead goes back to his car and grabs a gun of his own, 90% chance that someone is dying.....

If meat head gets out of their car and comes at you or tries to run you off the road I think 3 rounds is best, with at least one head-shot. Especially if it's a 9mm.

agreed, that is best...yet Beau wasn't the person who escalated the incident, Splitthis did, and her actions could not be undone, so he stepped up...the situation called for him to take control or else someone would get seriously hurt...and as you mention at the end of you post, being run off the road or smashed into is a possibility as long as she continued to drive...so stopping and ending the matter is reasonable.

Calling the cops may help, but why rely on them---after all, they may not show up, and who knows how long it will take for them to get there....in the meantime, Splitthis is defenseless....and even if they show up, they have no specific duty to protect one person from another http://www.policechiefmagazine.org/m...issue_id=72004

Use of deadly force is justified if there is an obvious disparity of power or aggression....and i agree the Mozambique Drill (2 shots to the body 1 to the head) is best

No offense to OP but I never knew people actually said the phrase "Dumb fucker day gone wrong".
Pulling his gun on meat head was probably more dangerous then telling the driver to chill and ignore him. He's lucky meat head didn't have a semi-automatic rifle on the backseat, he probably even let him walk back to his car after he was satisfied meat head was impressed with his gun.
Call the cops if you're feeling threatened, they like to shoot people with bad attitudes, and they are mostly trained at it.
Furthermore if you're on the phone when meat head decides to run you off the road, is evidence who has escalated the issue and charges less likely.
Avoid situation that you need to pull your gun, and if you need to pull a gun use it, and if you use it make sure there's no future civil suits for the guy you put in a wheelchair or survivors who want revenge.
Easy to see meat head saying "ohhh shit sorry man" with his hands in the air and quickly returning to his car to grab a weapon, or his AK.
