The jury is still out on Wacha. He was not that highly regarded prior to the 2013 season, and injuries have slowed him down. I won't write him off, but he may also soon be regarded as a one hit wonder.
What is a highly regarded prospect? Wacha was somewhere between 50-80 on all prospect lists prior to 2013, which makes him a number two prospect on any random team. That's pretty highly regarded, though not a Trout/Harper type.
I saw him at 76 on Baseball America.

So yes, he was on the radar, but look at where most of those 70s-level prospects end up, and very few of them become stars. Solid, serviceable players, yes, but rarely stars.

I was saying that Wacha wasn't some stud pitcher that everyone couldn't wait to see promoted, and then lived up to the hype. He was a good-but-not-great prospect who came out of nowhere to own in 2013, and now has expectedly regressed.

Unfortunately for the Dodgers, they ran into him when he was at his hottest.

Kershaw showing he is a pro at getting through the lineup twice then it's all downhill from there.

Hope Druff didn't break any ribs when he fell.

But, still waaaaaaaay too small a sample size to say Kershaw struggles in the playoffs.

Kershaw might be the biggest choker in the history of MLB postseason. Expect Mattingly to be in the food stamp line shortly.

Feel bad for Kershaw. Anything but a fucking HR. I hate the big spending teams, so I'm glad the Dodgers lost, but what a brutal end to an all time season for Kershaw. Now he's Peyton, ARod, or Lebron until he gets it done. Hopefully he's not Sergio.

    Really entertaining baseball.

I was watching the Giants - Nationals series the other day thinking to myself that the play by play man sure sounds like the guy who used to announce the action for the World Series of Blackjack on GSN with Ben Mezrich.

Lo & behold it is Matt Vasgersian in the booth with John Smoltz. He's come a long way.

Plz stfu about sample size this isnt poker. Kershaw isn't mentally tough same with Price. How many games would be a good sample size? You dont get many chances at the post season.. It's a mental thing my friend. If You don't think Kershaw was thinking about what happened in the 7th inning last game u r mistaken... If he didn't give up the bomb the bullpen would of. I don't think he chocked he actually pitched good. He's just is a mental midget and it cost him.Iif u want to talk about chokers it would be the whole Dodger line up lol at only getting 2 runs off of Miller in 5 and 2/3's.. .

At first, without my own horse in the race, I was hoping to see KC/WAS world series. Now I'm hoping for KC/STL, but only if all KC players have "Brown" as their last name on the jerseys, and STL players have "Wilson" as theirs.

    THATS QUALITY DRAMA THERE FOLKS!

    Druff,

Top to bottom the Dodgers and Tigers are the most talented teams in baseball and it's not really close. Talent doesn't win five games series all the time though. The problem with your Dodgers are too many of the guys are boom or bust, very streaky mostly power type hitters. They don't manufacture runs like the Giants and Royals do. I know you hate the Giants but give them their damn due. They are gritty as fuck and almost always win the close games. They've won two of the last five WS. Nobody but you cares how shitty and undeserving a team they were. Read the scoreboard. Time to give them their due my friend.

    Maybe next lifetime.
Its like Mulva, how they feel about someone overshadows what happens on the field.
(maybe its the poker "don't be result oriented" thing)

In fairness, he isn't alone, Vegas (and every MLB.com announcer) hasn't given them their due.
Plus he paid that bet promptly.

Could you imagine druff sending something like this?
