i look at defensive the defensive side of the ball. i see what kap's up against...and it's not very much...even less if ariz and stl don't follow up this year strongly....SF plays against some of the worst defenses in the NFL this year. don;t even care how much offense the other team have vs SF's defense because SF can neutralize them.

this alone can hide kap's inefficiencies..as long has the team wins, if will not be a issue or a problem

philly, dallas, nyg, sd...and even denver.....list goes on....KC's defense is even overrated..

I don't know if I've ever seen a QB hard count himself into a delay of game. That was pretty horrible. He is really starting to look more like a taller version of Vick, but not as good of a throwing motion. Great athletic ability, but seems somewhat stupid too.

Didn't help that their D couldn't stop a hobbled Marshall either.

that's the problem when you have a game plan like the 49'ers. methodical, ball possession offense, and a stout defense..it leaves little room for error if other components break down....it was very unusual that chicago got stronger while SF got weaker when the TO's started..SF played a heartless game

this loss has to be put on kap. if he didn;t throw those INT's they would not of lost. but the alarming aspect is the way chicago feasted on the chance and the way SF's OL played when they had to respond. chicago was w/o many key defensive players.

SF better hope this was one of those games that sometimes you lose to a worse team in the course of 16 games, and in essence means little because of it.

dreadful loss...but in the big picture isn't grounds for panic just yet..but kap isn;t suppose to have problems w/ this defense at home

That was a bad day for SF sports.
The Division is probably lost for the Giants, and the 49ers, w/my boy's help, gave up a win.
This was his worst performance since the one that inspired this thread.

Not sure what else I can say, he sucked Sunday night.
What I didn't like was he went on Tilt.

You have to take the good w/the bad w a guy like that is not the conventional. in 25 starts, he has 18 wins, (the only guy w/ a better winning PCT, that I could find is Russell Wilson @ 25-9).

i will say that eli looked really good vs arizona last week, and the giants should have won the game. saying eli looked really good speaks volumes considering how badly he played last year. the giants moved the ball at will.

as for SF/Ariz,,,,and being a division game on the road. i don't know what to think. if they can't run it kap will have to chuck it..seems like a potential down spot for the 49'ers. or it could be a make amends from failing in every aspect in the 2nd half vs. the bears.....seems like a dicey play on either side, especially w/ ariz backup QB....he couldn't do much vs the giants crap defense...i can only imagne if SF's defense come to play even more fired up...Ariz could be looking at 10pts total, barring TO"s

Didn't Buffalo go to 4 straight Super Bowls only 20-25 years ago? I realize they lost them all but I still put that in the almost won category.

Also didn't the Eagles make it to the NFC conference championship game 4 years in a row & then lost the Super Bowl the last of those years under Donovan McNabb? I know I'm pretty old but it seems like that was within the last 50 years anyways.
