there is NO tax on gambling and lottery winnings and no deductions on losses, there is a application process to recover taxes paid on winnings in the US, it apparently is a bit of a wait but in this case defiantly worth it.
I believe in a recent court case a precedent was set that this even applies if you are a professional player.
they were saying that Canadians had to pay a withholding fee from winning any money in America but not if its from any other country...
