the best rep in the world is when garrett is tilting so hard he negs me with a green.

back to the issue at hand, btw.

hear me now believe me later; one of the better resources in this community for living well in nyc is OSA. hes off defending zion at the moment but he knows some incredibly great and fairly obscure spots in brooklyn for food and drink and such.

In the city. May just get rid of the cars as it sounds like they would be expensive as hell to park and never be used.

This has happened all real sudden so havent really done too much research.

btw, be in vegas in a week if you want to grab a drink or something
Yeah dude, it is expensive as hell to park just one car, let alone two, especially in Manhattan. You could basically rent an apartment in most places for what you will pay to store your cars.

If this move is semi permanent I would consider getting rid of the truck.

I'll PM you, maybe you, B and I could do dinner or something.

So they are also flexible and when you want it delivered, you could always hire a couple day laborers, and just supervise them unloading it all. Pods is really a brilliant idea, and makes long moves much less stressful. Good luck and enjoy the Big Apple...
    Sonatine's got this right.

NY or Boston. This is not for amateurs. May even need police detail. Who the hell knows - movers.

Liberal greasing of all palms as Sonatine coaches is proper too. Accepting cash bonus is easier for them than stealing or breaking your stuff.
You and Sonatine I can tell are anal worryworts.

It does not matter where it is, Boston, NYC or wherever. Because YOU choose who to hire, and touch your belongings. I would bet Sonatine rubs many hard working individuals like movers, the wrong way, so it's no wonder HE had "problems" with Pods. Acting like New York or Boston is any different than Des Moines Iowa is retard logic. He can hire wisely, I am sure.

Make sense next time you want to vouch for Sonatine, on a Sonatine dupe thanks!

Are we really trying to save the boss of all bosses, CGod himself a grand a month on parking his ultra luxurious vehicles?? Come the fuck on, he shits that every morning. Kid is moving to the big time with money to blow, paying for parking is just a minor inconvenience.

And besides, life does exist outside the city and he might need a vehicle to get around every once in a while.

Tell him this after he gets t-boned by some aging Sihk doing 70 in his yellow cab.

Also most people in the city simply rent cars for excursions. Its cheaper and has less liability. Zipcar is really popular for example.

Why NYC? Are the New York income taxes not horrible? I would imagine that shit could get out of hand for someone in your financial position.

It's the last minute nature of the move.

I gotta move NOW and DOWNTOWN.

Huge commitment. I cannot think of two more extremes Oregon & NYC.

There is an epic story here.

    Reveal what you can Cmoney.

Income taxes are the least of the expense. The financial hemorrhaging will surprise even Cmoney.

Honestly I have invested in a bunch of patents (nothing I invented) over the years and all but one have been a bust. But one has hit and part of the deal is that I can continue to be involved in the invention but requires me to relocate.

lol @ patent troll rep. seriously spit out my drink when i read that. nh. I actually invest with the inventor. Patent trolls are the attorneys just buying up patents with basically extortion in mind. Our patent got bought.

My wife and kid are out of town from Wednesday to Monday. I'm in.

I looked into the pod thing about 8 years ago and there was a dealbreaker. The pods are not guaranteed to be water-tight and their liability coverage does not cover water damage. Ask about that before agreeing to anything.

Get a pod. We used to have tons of them for homeowners who stored their houses in them after the storm

    1. Get a moving truck. How much should this cost? I dont want to get ripped off. I am guessing this could be easily be 10-15k?
    2. Get those pods and fill it up with shit and then have the company move it.
    3. Sell everything except for expensive stuff and start over.

Anyone ever do anything like this?
Trade you AR15s/semi-auto rifles for bolt action rifles and/or pump action shotguns...your Glocks, XD's & MPs 9mm for revolvers of .38 spec, .357mag or .45 caliber, ...load up on quality hollow point ammo for the revolvers as they aren't fussy about what they shoot....New York Safe Laws are safe only for criminals & cops, for citizens its another story entirely--but bolt actions rifles, pump shotguns and revolvers are better than nothing (just compensate for lower firepower with better bullets)
