I agree with the vibe Vegas is bringing here , nobody should feel bad about asking for a stake or getting shutdown if they don't get one and apply. And it's really not anyones business besides cmoneys to decide who he stakes and for how much either. It's his money and he can do whatever he wants with it.

If he was looking to stake top flight MTT players I'm sure he would be combing through 2+2 buying pieces of all the all stars etc.. but he said he is doing this for fun so thats that.

All kidding aside, it's pretty amazing that a thread where a dude offers to basically give a bunch of strangers tens of thousands of dollars solely because he thinks it will be a fun thing to do manages to get fucked sideways by a handful of posters and turned into a steaming pile of butthurt shit in less than a day. For the people who are concerned...The only reason I suggested Cmoney playing at the same table with me is to ease his mind about my ability in these games or in some sense manage the money without it ever leaving his sight. And also I thought it would be fun to play at the tables with cmoney and why not do it this way if hes going to play in cash games during the series anyway...I didn't think it was a terrible suggestion and by no means does he have to do that... Ive never dealt with anyone on these forums other than Chinamaniac who ive done well in HU tournaments for and shipped his part after cashing for a couple thousand something like 3-4 times. I'm going to make us money if he does this. And again I have the best references possible on 2plus2...If you want those all he has to do is PM me asking for them and can verify a long history of being backed since 2009. And ive only played backed since playing professionally and currently get almost 95% of the profit...I'm shocked most of you guys didn't know this already! Couldn't be further from the truth someone who gets backing can't beat the games...Tom Dwan is backed did you know that? a lot of big name pros are...For major tournaments almost the entire field is backed.

You're comparing someone who needs to be backed to play the highest stakes available to someone who wants a 5/10 stake. Lets assume you're world class and can beat the 5/10 which alot of live pros say are bad games during the series. Even if you're the best 5/10 nl player in the world you wont be able to play 1% of the hands that it would take to prove this. Staking someone you dont know for cash games in a minute sample is just gambling no matter how good you are. The point of backing people in tourneys is the chance to turn a very small amount of money into something very large which wont happen at 5/10 cash.

In order to find a live cash backer you need someone thats willing to back you long term or someone thats just stupid. Again send a pm to HockeyGuy im sure you have a 50% chance.
