So I got involved in that 2+2 thread.

As usual, I regret it. It has degenerated into a whole mess of terrible, with people completely ignoring obvious logic.

Haseeb himself PM'd me and wants to have a conversation with me.

Bsaically, the most notable part of the thread involves two supposed women who appeared there, both of whom know Haseeb personally.

One posted as "OpheliaMayRose", and claims to be a prostitute with college degrees in mathematics and literature. She writes incredibly like Haseeb. Here was her original post:

I don't understand one of the arguments here. People suspect that Haseeb is guilty of things for which there is no evidence because (i) he was friends with an admitted scammer, and (ii) it's not believable that a clever person--Haseeb is clearly clever--could be duped by a scammer for long. So Haseeb must also be a scammer.

Here's the problem. Haseeb knew Jose for, what, less than a year? But Haseeb was himself a part of the poker community for four or five years. You guys were friends with him. You worked and played with him and respected him as a player and teacher. Not a single person suspected Haseeb of being a scammer before the Jose incident. Did you? I wasn't around, so someone enlighten me if I'm wrong.

So what is the deal? If your argument makes Haseeb a scammer, then it also makes everyone else in the poker community a scammer or an idiot or both.

I think I know Haseeb pretty well. I've been close friends with him for a year and a half. He refused to talk poker math with me when I was reading his book, so I made an account here a few months ago to find a teacher. He asked me last week to keep an eye out for a thread about him and to try to counter obviously false claims (e.g., that Jose was not even a real person). It sounded like a reasonable response to the insane stuff that some people say here, but it turns out that I can't pretend to be an NVGer.

I think Haseeb has some secrets. He grew up a Muslim in central Texas and an atheist in a Muslim family. Then he became a poker player. So it's not surprising that he never learned to be forthright and unguarded. That doesn't make him wholly, irredeemably evil or deserving of hatred. Some of you blow his faults out of all proportion.

She also went on to post this:

How do you have any clue what my work is like? I work for myself. No one but me and my clients know what happens between us.

You're also assuming, incorrectly, that I have an ethical issue with my work. I don't. I never did. It's not a sacrifice for me. I didn't have to compromise anything or cross any line for it. I don't believe that I am doing anything wrong. I think the US sex laws are outdated and sexist. This is the best job I've ever had. I am making money in a lucrative industry while I have the opportunity. If I were a man, you'd call that being smart. It's what all you poker players are trying to do.

That's right. You don't know about my background. My mom was an abusive alcoholic, and my dad slit her throat and killed her new husband when I was 9. She survived. He went to prison. She started drinking and abusing me and my siblings. I ran away when I was 10. Stuff got worse. By the time I was 13, she would kick me out, or I would leave. I was homeless from 13 to 15. I got in lots of trouble. I dropped out of high school when I was 16 to start working and move out of my house.

I worked in restaurants for the next 10 years while I educated myself in math, physics, neuroscience, philosophy, and linguistics. I worked my way back to school and got a degree in math and linguistics from a top school here outside of Boston. I was miserable doing math research a couple summers ago, so I decided to take a break from school, make some money, pay off my student loans, and do some writing. Then I met Haseeb, and now I'm wasting my time here defending myself to you guys because I think he's worth it.

Also appearing was "Rachel" aka "UseHerName", supposedly Haseeb's ex. Rachel claimed to be a London-based lawyer, and unlike Ophelia, is anti-Haseeb:

Haseeb asked me for 80k as he was going to lose his house.. well he didn't ask he emailed. He also emailed jungle and Jose...yep girah...that fiendish villain that he has nothing to do with. This was late august this year. Yet suddenly he has half a million. Shall I continue with this story? Its got interesting since your Skype rant. Putting the house in a parents name when they paid the mortgage off doesn't seem so altruistic as gifting huh.

Or maybe the one about the night of the exposure of the girah scandal and the Skype calls and damage control machine in overdrive.

Okay, I guess she wants to talk about this. Cliffnotes version: a fake online dating account messaged me from San Antonio, was really attractive and nice and asked me lots of questions about my previous relationship (with Rachel). I say bad stuff about her, saying how bad the relationship was. Fake online account tried to convince me that Rachel was awesome and I was in the wrong for all my complaints about her. Soon I realize fake account is fake because is unwilling to meet, talk, or cam, so I stop talking to it.

Months later, my computer gets hacked in a pretty hardcore way. Rachel claims that the hacker sent her copies of all of the chat logs with this fake online dating account, which incidentally include me badmouthing her (the hacker sent apparently no one else anything. Rather odd; I'd been hacked before, but hackers are usually after money. Or if they want to sabotage someone, they do it more widely, not just to one random ex. Also, Rachel had a hacker ex-boyfriend that she'd often tell me about). From there, the story gets even more insane, but that's the basic outline.

Then Haseeb goes on to make another post where he says that Rachel was the actual hacker, but I'll spare you that.

He and "Rachel" fight back and forth for awhile.

But I noticed something... their posts NEVER overlap. That is, when one writes a long post, the other stops posting -- clear evidence that only one person is operating all accounts.

I have been away from 2+2 for over 2 weeks due to a vacation. I am a bit late to the party, and am spending my Friday night trudging through 90 pages of this garbage.

I know, tight life.

I'm about halfway through, and have already reached various conclusions. I apologize if these have already been brought up, but I wanted to get these out while still fresh in my tiring mind.

I will admit that I found this whole sordid tale fascinating, and I read this thread more as a game to unravel Haseeb's depraved little fantasy world.

Simply put, this is all fake.

Haseeb is Ophelia.

Haseeb is Rachel/UseHerName.

It is possible that there are real people techincally behind these identities, but only as shills/voices for purposes of legitimizing the lies.

Of course, none of that is anything new. People were screaming "FAKE" from the very first Ophelia-the-cultured-genius-hooker-who-inexplicably-cares-deeply-for-Hasseb post.

Rather than theorize or guess, I decided to focus upon something a bit more concrete.

There is no doubt that Haseeb is a smart guy. He's also quite creative. He specializes in internet sock puppetry. That is, he creates fascinating characters, presents them to the public, and then inserts himself into their stories for legitimacy. He gets some sort of twisted kick out of fooling people in this way, and sometimes (such as in the case of Girah), it graduates from internet forum dishonesty to cheating and scamming.

These "Ophelia" and "Rachel" characters are in the same vein as Girah, except we're substituting salacious sex and romance in the place of prodigious poker skill.

But let's step away from the conjecture and into the hard evidence.

As talented as Haseeb is with his sock puppetry, he still possesses physical limitations.

Much like a ventriloquist cannot speak as both his dummy and himself at the same time, neither can Haseeb and his various puppet accounts.

That is, Haseeb cannot answer ongoing questions here (coming to him live) without having to take a short break posting as his fake accounts.

Let's focus on the "argument" between Rachel and Haseeb starting with post #590, when Haseeb supposedly "woke up" from attempting to sleep. (Side note: It's likely Haseeb "went to sleep" to allow himself to post as his fake accounts without having to deal with the hassle of using his own account to answer questions, but he couldn't help himself when he was taking such a beating here.)

Haseeb and Rachel (UseHerName) were supposedly arguing back and forth in the next several pages. Their posts comprise a large percentage of all posts between pages 40 and 45.

In a real argument, their posts would sometimes "overlap". That is, Rachel might post something long at 12:55pm, while Haseeb would have another long post (perhaps addressed to someone else on the forum) at 12:56. You would see plenty of instances where both parties would be furiously hammering away at their keyboards, nearly simultaneously producing walls of text.

But that's not what happened here.

Like a puppeteer manipulating his dummy, Haseeb's long diatribes caused "Rachel" to go silent until he was finished typing.

Below is a list of posts from Haseeb, "Rachel", and "Ophelia" with both timestamps and the notation of LONG (long post), MEDIUM (medium length post) or SHORT (short post).

Please note that Haseeb is a fast typist (like many of us here), and can likely type out a lot of text in 10 minutes. However, it is impossible for him to type out a lot of text in, say, 1 or 2 minutes.

Note that the times listed are when the posts are complete (submitted). So basically "Rachel" and "Ophelia" never seem to start typing, even if replying to someone other than Haseeb, until Haseeb is done posting on his account.

A good example of this is Haseeb taking 4 minutes to write a medium-length post at 3:37 (he had just posted at 3:33), and then Rachel posts a one-liner in response to GMLAW at 3:38. Notice that Rachel's post does not show up BETWEEN 3:33 and 3:37, because Haseeb is spending those 4 minutes writing his own post.

By itself, this would mean little, but every single post by "Ophelia", "Rachel", and Haseeb follow this pattern.

Bottom line: This is yet another Haseeb Qureshi lie/deception, and he's either doing it for attention whoring, book sales, or most likely both.

This guy needs serious psychological help.

Expanding upon that, I went back to post #417 (page 28), where Haseeb appeared at 11:49pm (Dec 23) to explain Ophelia's presence.

Notice the same pattern of Ophelia, Rachel, and Hasseb being unable to make long posts at the same time:

Finally, while Ophelia has a webpage and seemed to be practically begging people to Skype her (did anyone take her up on it?), it seems somewhat dubious that she is really the hooker she claims to be.

There are absolutely ZERO reviews of her on TheEroticReview, which is a highly popular hooker review site.

Yeah, that's not really how it works in the hooker world.

If you're really seeing enough clients in order to make a living, you are going to get reviewed whether you like it or not. There's no such thing as "not allowing reviews", just as restaurants and hotels cannot avoid reviews being published of their establishments.

I'm just conjecturing now, but it would not surprise me if "Ophelia" was just a creation of Haseeb's to screw with yet another community, and now he has unleashed "her" onto 2+2.

Rachel then showed up and responded 12 minutes after I posted, even though the thread had been dead for 6 hours prior to that.

I asked her to get on Skype with me. She demanded a 500 pound bet as to whether or not she was real, and when I refused, she wouldn't get on Skype.

Hours later, she skyped some guy named Dantes (a 2+2 mod), but by then "Rachel" could have been coached by Haseeb.

Like Girah, I believe Haseeb probably has two real females behind these identities, but the backstories are fake, and Haseeb is actually making all of the posts.

Rachel also had a very unique writing style, which abruptly vanished once I started accusing her of being fake. It's as if Haseeb forgot to continue with the writing style difference once I got him all worked up.

Anyway, a lot of idiots are still unconvinced, and think that Ophelia and Rachel are real, and that Haseeb wasn't operating their accounts.

It's pretty much Girah all over again, and morons are once again falling for it.

Mind you, this is all part of a thread which some shill created to bring up Haseeb's name, promote his new book, and make that ridiculous charity claim.
