Hand is very skewed to trip threes or nothing which I'd lean towards nothing so often there

He wouldn't have bet that much on river if he had the 3's.

I agree. That isn't to say no one bets that much but Farber is an amateur whereas two good pros with a history might do such a thing.

Almost over...Riess "The Beast" could beat Farber in his sleep.

Ryan Riess already signed to long term contract by PokerStars.

Jay Farber needs to replace Panda with Donkey.

Average age of WSOP main event winners since 2008...22.5 years old.

Can someone over 30 years old win the WSOP main event in the next 10 years?

If the legal gambling age was lowered to 18, would we see 18 year old champions?

I felt that all the public hate from Seiver and other known poker pros was in bad taste.

It's very tough to play your A-game under such intense pressure.

Yes, there was a lot of bad and overly tight play here, but unless you've been at the WSOP Main Event final table, you can't speculate how you would handle it. The pay jumps are gigantic, and it was life changing money for every single person at the table. There's also the added pressure of the intense media scrutiny, as well as the fact that everyone in poker will be watching you and talking about your hands for years.

I still believe Loosli wasn't angle shooting, but was rather just nervous and screwing up. Maybe he was angle shooting, but I think the fact that the guy wasn't likable made it a lot easier to land on the side of "he's doing it on purpose".

Loosli did take an interesting line of trying to wait out people busting early, so as to get the easy pay jumps first, before mixing it up. Of course, Riess was also a big nit, and look what happened with him.

A lot of people hated on twitter but the fact is these guys were playing yesterday and two of them today while all these pros being critics were at home or on the rail watching.

While I didn't think the play was as good as in some years the money is significant for all these players way more then any online tournament and every other live mtt final table. It's all about your chip position as to what you can do can do.

As viewers watching on TV we don't see certain tells or table dynamics as closely as the players do. It wouldn't surprise me if many of these players didn't sleep well the night prior and maybe even for the few days before that being anxious waiting to get it started which hurts some people but others once the cards are being dealt the adrenaline overtakes their fatigue.

Farber is a well liked guy in Vegas who got training from people like Vanessa Selbst and Jesse Sylvia so it's obvious why many pros would claim he played the best prior to HU but just watching the final table both Farber and Riess had a majority of the good hands which got them to HU. JC Tran didn't get shit all night while Farber got pocket aces several times including the huge all in preflop hand where he busted McLaughlin I believe it was who had KK. You can make some moves to stay afloat but eventually you will need to catch some hands or avoid a cooler otherwise your fate will be sealed.

Didn't get to watch but reading over the pokernews reports it seems like Reiss was putting the heat on Farber instead of sitting back and letting Farber get hyper aggro like he usually is and Farber folded his way into oblivion sans a couple hands.

A lot of them went "Farber folds button" "Reiss gets walk" or "Farber raised from button, Reiss re-raised, Farber folds". It seems like any time Farber tried to raise Reiss was just firing right back out and Farber was raising the white flag way too frequently.

Then again I haven't seen the hands since I didn't watch the stream and it could also be that Reiss was just getting tons of great hands starting.

he def owned him hu - Reiss played v well and Farber was overmatched. Reiss definitely was running good too, making lots of hands which is v tilting when you're on the opposite end of it.

I just think I am the best player in the world-Ryan Riess
Really, ever heard of a player named Phil Ivey?
$8.3 million may not be enough to get Phil excited, so they should also play for Riess' girlfriend's asshole virginity.

Riess has called out fish in live SNG's, challenged them HU and yelled at them
the entire time about how bad they are.

No excuse for being a piece of shit douchebag.

Ryan Riess meet your new girlfriend...Vanessa Rousso.
