Holy shit man, no offense, but I have never heard of anyone who didn't know what tailgating is!

You my friend, are missing out.

Im not sure what level of seriousness other teams make tailgating, but in Packer country, it is essential and taken pretty seriously. We generally treat it as an unattachable part of the game. Some people going to the game wont always tailgate, but nonetheless, if you miss tailgating, it seems like you are missing part of the game.

And believe it or not, some people who don't even have tickets for the game, will go to the parking lot simply to tailgate, and then leave after the game gets going....and then those people will generally hit the bars or something to watch the game.

Anyway, your thread reminds me that I never posted a trip report when I went to Seattle a couple of months back

Even though im sure I forgot a few things, I will try to post a TR in the next few days of my vacation.
I've already admitted in this thread that I've led a very sheltered life, what more can I say. lol

I'm the one who brought up tailgating in the OP so I've obviously heard of it & know what it is but have no idea how it works.
It says on the Seahawks website that there is no drinking while tailgating but I assume nobody takes that seriously? As long as you're not out of control do they bother you? Should any alcohol be hidden in a cup or flask & not just a beer can?
Are there booths that sell food or do you have to bring your own?
Is Seattle really serious about their tailgating? What time do you show up for a 1PM local time game?

Any hints would be appreciated.
Im not sure of the Seahawks tailgating rules. Just so we're on the same page, Im from Wisconsin in Packer country. Iv been to Seattle and been to a couple of Mariners games but haven't been to a Seahawks game, so im not really sure on any of their rules. Those questions might be better answered by Tony Bagadonuts

Iv never heard though of a football team allowing tailgating, but no drinking. To me, that is just insane...and it partially defeats the whole purpose of tailgating imo.
I would imagine though that it would be practically impossible for them to enforce this, as anyone can probably just put their alcoholic beverage in a cup or something.

I dont know if they would have booths outside that sell food, but probably not. Any of the places iv tailgated, its generally bring your own food, grill, drinks etc.
