I still want to know wtf is wrong with Wade. Ray Allen driving to the hoop is driving me insane...it obviously should be Wade/Lebron.

    Nice read, dumbdick.

It was 89-87 Heat lead with 4 minutes left and the Pacers ended on a 12 to 3 run.

In game 2 the Pacers were down 2 with 3 minutes left and ended with an 8 to 2 run.

So the other 14 qters don't mean anything? Indiana hasn't closed qters good in this series at all u want proof? The 2 games they did down the stretch they won. This is what they have to do. A team like Miami lives on stealing qters what about up 8 b4 half today then only up 1 in 1:29... Stick to tetruis qbert golden tee and mario kart. U are out of your league here u simpson looking mother fcker. This is how I feed my family and u come in with 2 qters they closed well out of 16. Hit the reset button u fcking skinny jew.. I'm glad the Pacers won I had them I'm not against you on the team just they have a problm at the end of qters sometimes.

For the entire 90s, I absolutely adored the Pacers. My favorite player was always Dale Davis, with Antonio Davis being a close second. Dale Davis was an inspiration to all of us who loved to rebound and play defense, but had horrible jump shots.

So when you type "always", you mean "two thirds of the time". Got it. Thanks.

You do realize that we can all still read the first post of this thread where you state that the Pacers will absolutely get swept after the game 1 loss, right?

I hated those Pacer teams of the 90's, mainly because of Reggie. I really like this team they have put together now, though. I almost think they would not be doing this well if Granger was healthy and playing. It's like the Grizzlies/Gay situation, or if you like Bill Simmons, his "Ewing theory."

BCR why would you bet the Pacers so early? the only way you would get extra value here is if Wade or Lebron is sitting out (which they are not).

    I'm seeing +140 and higher.

I had an 8 hour round trip to drive, and tbh, I didn't see it going up like it did. After listening to sports radio all day, I then got the impression that everyone thought putting Lebron down on the post was some magic elixir, and figured I should have probably waited as that was public opinion.

To me, the Pacers were an elite home team all year facing essentially a close out game, and I couldn't see why people were so confident in the Heat. It wasn't like Udonis Haslem was going to go 8/9 again, and I knew Vogel would have a solid counter, as it appeared to me that he simply got caught by surprise by the move the game before. In my experience, if the Heat start to truly struggle, it usually persists against a good opponent. When the Heat make a great counter, it's usually between games, and imo is likely more Riley-driven than Spoelstra. I am not a big Spo fan, and think they generally succeed despite him.

I saw the line continue to rise throughout the day on my phone, and thought about throwing more, but I already had a serious amount against a team which I thought would lose, but is still 46-4 over the last 50, and that's never a great feeling, so I just stuck. I certainly lost some value, but still a very good night. Actually, for me, a good morning as I just woke up after crashing for like 4 hours after getting home and just watching it on DVR.

    How were they dogs here?

Just about every time I see a team up 3-0, they go on to sweep, whether it's at home or the road. There are a few rare exceptions, but this is one of the most predictable situations IMO.

I had no real feel for that game and didn't bet it. Really strange series, and I was very surprised to see it play out like it did. I thought the Spurs would be tough, but never saw a sweep. Memphis had beat them 4 straight a few years ago in the playoffs, with a 2 year younger Spurs core, so I wasn't convinced Memphis was ready to roll over and play dead. With the Spurs, they are just hard to predict, as you never quite know how they are health-wise, and they certainly aren't going to say. Duncan shedding weight (in addition to his whoring wife), and Parker getting even better has shown them to be improved at playoff time, and they look really good right now. One last curtain call for a great group of players I guess.

Spurs go through these stretches where they are practically unstopable They will run off like 12 in a row, 18 out of 20,etc... They will be ready for the finals but the long layoff could hurt them. I think they will make a real series which the NBA clearly wants Miami vs. San Antonio and don't want Indiana to see the finals.

I think playing continuously is beneficial to younger players more so than older, although it's probably better to keep playing for both sides. I know that sounds confusing but the older camp should in theory be able to jump back into their game after a break and also be able to heal and recover.

The younger guys don't need as much time to heal so it would make sense for them to keep playing without any extended breaks to keep the flow that they might not be accustomed to.

Obviously this isn't the standard just more so common sense and having said that break or no break spurs would be favs vs pacers and dogs vs heat in the finals but what do you think is more likely to happen under these situations?

    spurs beat heat
    or
    pacers beat spurs?
